Food was good. The sauce was delicious even though the serving size was small. The staff did act their wage when I went. They weren’t rude, but get ready to practically catch your food because they didn’t seem to want to open the window.

When will people stop trying to imitate Raising Cane’s? This is the second time I have tried this place and I won’t be back. Just ordered a chicken finger sandwich with ketchup and mayo. Really simple right? Well I get told that they don’t have mayo and that the closest thing is ranch that they have to it. I say ok go with that. Obviously thinking that I’m going to get a sandwich with ranch like I ordered and I said let me have some fries with that. Then I changed my mind on the fries and ordered 2 potato salads because the size is kinda small and told the girl to take the fries off of the order. Well my order comes out and guess what, no ranch on the sandwich like I ordered and instead it’s covered with this imitation Cane’s sauce that tastes like nothing but black pepper. Nasty is the kindest way that I can think of to describe it so I’m going to go with that. Being that it covered my sandwich, it made it totally inedible. Then come to find out that she didn’t take the fries off the order so I ended up paying way too much for an order of fries and a little cup of potato salad. I definitely won’t be returning again. If I wanted to taste nothing but black pepper, I could have just went to the pantry at the house. I definitely don’t recommend this place.

Incredibly dingy, sticky floor and what looked like wet straw wrappers everywhere. The staff clearly didn’t want to be there (I get it, but still not a good experience). The fries were slightly overdone yet soggy, and there wasn’t enough sauce for the chicken, which had a lot of breaded air. The receipt printer does not work.

I went to the other Layne’s previously and gave it 4 stars. After coming a second time, I think it is better than I remember. The chicken was crispy and moist and the portions were great. I plan to come here pretty much any time I go through College Station!

The food is definitely hit or miss here. Every single time I order through the drive thru, they have me down for the wrong order when I get to the window. The extras I order and PAY for are never included in my box and I either have to swing back around the long line or go inside which defeats the whole point of the drive thru. The employees here are hit or miss too. The dining room is always a mess.

Love their strips, so much better than “the other place”. My friend (who is a MinPin), eats a strip in the morning and a strip at night, she wont eat anything else. We get the 25strip box for her.

Arrived at the drive through at 10:15 and ordered a box combo and a grilled club (grub). I was not told that the grill was turned off. I received a regular club, so I went back through the drive-through to get it fixed and was told the grill was turned off at 10:19. Make sure the person repeats the order back to you because the receipt is unreadable.
