So we came over today to try this place out. The salmon was dry, over cooked and taste burnt. The fist taste messed up all the rest of the meals. So my wife and I ordered 2 of each and two seafood salid. The two seafood salid taste very well. That’s because we ate it as soon as we got in out car. So we save the rest for when we got home. 45 minutes later, 1st experience not a good one. An one of my daughters did eat the rice but left the salmon. Salmon is easy to cook if you know what your doing. Once the burnt taste is in your mouth, it’s a wrap because it only gets worse . If you knew you burned the salmon why sell it to your customers. So before we left the store we did get 2 slices of cake for dessert which was good .

I’ve been to Lavish in Chester several times now. I’ve had almost everything and all the food is delicious. Their potato salad is one of my faves. The inside is very nice. Parking on that block is basically non existing but I’ve been lucky to get parking right across the street every time. You can also try parking up the street or around the corner of 5th st.

Lavish please do better with the potato salad. It taste like nothin but mayonnaise. It’s missing a few ingredients like relish, eggs, salt, a squirt of mustard, paprika for color etc. The shrimp was ok but I wish I had some cocktail sauce. The lemonade is delicious.

Went on a lunch at Tuesday and the owners were kind and it took around 5-7 minutes to get my food. Platter was $6 in cash only for that day and the food was pretty tasty!! Yams were just right! (Excuse the messy plate, through the bag in the car)

The wait was ridiculous. Waited over an hour for food that was not that great. Had to wait because they had no platters to put food in and other difficulties. Disappointed especially since I drove over an hour to come try them out. The platters are only $6 which you can’t complain about but your only gonna get $6 worth of food literally. And the sides are only two or three fork fulls. String beans has no taste at all. Fried chicken was not fresh. Don’t think I will be back. But good luck to there business and I hope they improve. I came because of JL Jupiter and he said the food was good. Well I second that for sure!!!! Maybe they made everything good and fresh for him to eat and impress him because there was nothing lavish about the food when we went.

The food is delicious. Most people giving it a poor rating due to having to wait long (because lines are out the door) why would so many people come if the food sucked? Also for $6 your gonna get just enough food to keep you satisfied until you go home. I’ve had the fried chicken and the shrimps all were good as well as the sides. Please don’t go by all the bad reviews most people are unrealistic. If food is $6 and you can’t get that anywhere, why wouldn’t you expect a balance in the serving size to afford a cost effective platter. People don’t think. Again, the lines are indicative of how good the good is.

The girl was on the phone the whole time she took our order the food was bland this generation needs to learn some respect for customers. Before the customer was always right when I was coming up. One of the best thing about the place was the cleanliness and the whiting fish was good and also the prices of the platters are the best thing thats great about the place. The right price for the amount of food that you receive because other places charge the same amount that I got for 2 platters Frome there. The greens needed to be cooked longer also. I paid $13⁰⁰ for the 2 platters so that was really great.
