I ate here for the first time today. I’m always looking for a good menudo and Laura’s was fantastic. I also had a rajas tamale. My grandma is from Mexico and had her own restaurant… Tamales were her specialty. I’ve tried 50 different Mexican restaurants and 50 different tamale’s… Each time I was extremely disappointed… They were always thick with masa and very little meat. I had given up trying to find my Nana’s tamales…. Until today!! Even though I only had one tamale (rajas), it was the most fabulous thing ever!! I felt like I was in my Nana’s kitchen all over again. I’m going back and will never leave!!

I had the Torta con Adobada (marinated pork), it was delicious! They put lettuce, tomato, avocado, and sour cream, and I added plenty of pickled jalapenos and some diced onions from their open salsa bar. I’m constantly on the lookout for good tortas and have tried nearly every restaurant in the area that offers them, this was one of the best! The bread was soft and fresh, nicely grilled, and the meat was flavorful and could’ve been eaten just by itself (and there was a good amount of it on the torta). My wife had the Chicken Burrito, which she enjoyed. For our kids we ordered a cheese Quesadilla and some chips and salsa. Oh, we also tried their horchata and it was excellent! Really struck a great balance of sweetness and cinnamon flavor. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Great food. I love “real” authentic Mexican food. The price is great and the food is even better. I haven’t tried very many Mexican restaurants in Utah County, but this place was awesome. I tried the steak tacos which I loved and would recommend to anyone. My wife had a tamale which was to die for as well. We will definitely come back and visit again!

Love this place! Favorite Mexican restaurant in Provo! Owner and his wife are really friendly. Great tasting food. Wish they didn’t run out of tomales at times, but understand with how popular they are. Try it!

My favorite Mexican restaurant. Very authentic. On weekends you can get tamales, which are worth it, all ingredients with some special soups that I love. Also, milanesa and torta dishes are winners with my family. Good prices on top of everything.

Very disappointed after reading all the great reviews. My husband and I went on Christmas Eve and the food was so bad I will never eat at this restaurant again. Don’t enchilada’s no matter what meat you choose to have in them always have cheese? The rice was poor and the retried beans, could you really call it beans? The Tamale was bad too and my husbands torta he stated that the meat didn’t taste good one bit.

Laura’s is one of my favorite places for truly authentic Mexican in Provo. It’s a small place and can seem a little intimidating when you first step in if you aren’t too used to a authentic Mexican menu, but there are some go-to’s like a quesadilla or burrito.

Great food! I love authentic mexican food and not having to get it off of a cart on the street is refreshing. Small place, good prices and yummy food 🙂 the mild sauce still has a kick to it so if you’re bad with spice like me maybe forgo putting it on. Overall great place.

By far the best Mexican food I’ve had in Provo, if not the entire north side of the border. Authentic, cheap, and with all the right fixins. It doesn’t look like much, but that’s how you know it’s good. You can go get French food if you need a fancy looking place to eat in.
