Poor service. We stopped on our way home and waited 15 minutes before our drink order was taken, didn’t see our waitress for 20 more minutes after she took our food order. After waiting another 45 minutes for our food we simply left without eating. 1 hour and 20 minutes total visit and only saw our waitress twice.

It was fitting that I visited here on a cold morning because everything moved in slow motion, completing the old adage – move slower than molasses in the winter time. The staff was standoffish at best, reticent to engage you in conversation or take your order or to give you the drinks that you ordered instead opted to leave you standing there for half an hour before you remind them you place a to-go order, and ultimately you’ll have spent 50 minutes standing there waiting for three tacos and a soda. If the tacos were absolutely Majestic, I could forgive a lot. These tacos were not.

I would like to begin by saying this restaurant is slightly beyond moderately acceptable for an establishment of it’s caliber. The building itself is of standard construction and complies with all local and federal laws and regulations, which is a big plus in my opinion. But, aside from everything else, the one thing that makes this place truly great is the selection of food you’re offered. If you like something, you get it, and if you don’t like something else, you don’t have to get it! For example, if you don’t like beans but want to get an enchilada plate, you can ask for no beans and they’ll give you just the enchiladas and rice! Truly remarkable. Last but certainly not the least is the sheer brilliance and efficiency of Las Mananitas. As soon as you sit down, employees will ask you what you want to drink! Revolutionary. 5/5 stars.

I’ve read all the reviews, which I don’t agree with the negative ones. I’ve been going to this restaurant for 16 years, it’s the best Mexican restaurant in Seguin, have never found any hair or anything like that in my food, never seen any crawling creatures on the floor, food is great, tortillas homemade, and you can ask for what ever you want on your plate, breakfast all day, lunch starts at 1030.

This was the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. I got the special if the day which was suppose to consist of 3 enchiladas, rice and beans. The only edible thing was the rice and beans. Not to mention I was only given 2 enchiladas and wasn’t offered a lesser price due to the screw up. My mom ordered the chicken fried steak. Terrible!! It was about the size of a hockey puck!

Seen the ratings and thought I would give it a try… I’m giving 3 stars only because the service was terrible!!!! Maybe understaffed? None the less, ordered our drinks and didn’t get them until we reminded the waiter we had ordered drinks (20 mins later). We didn’t get our food nor were we checked on until 50 minutes later. Thank God the food was good. Mendo is spicy (FYI) but over all food was GOOD!
