Good, authentic food in a home-like environment. The tallarín verde is amazingly seasoned and their grilled chicken has a nice smokey flavor to it. I love how sometimes they’re serving the aji in little cups in the center of the restaurant. The service is cordial and quick. I wish there were other options for payment besides cash, but it’s definitely worth it.

Came here last minute before closing and the lady working by herself greeted us with excellent service. She served us lomo saltado & it was delicious, it came in a large portion for a very low price. Definitely coming back great food and great service !

This is a general review of Las Llamas (which means flames not the animal that looks like an Alpaca) as I have been here many times. It would be wrong to judge the food based on the neighborhood or the locale. The food is incredible. If you like Lomo Saltado ask them to make it juicy or they’ll drain it to make it look more presentable. The tallerin Verde is creamy and delicious and the meat they add is very flavorful. The chicken chicharones will surprise you. The soups are great. I don’t remember their names.

This place was great. Never had Peruvian food before but this hit the spot. 1/4 roast chicken, rice, fries, bread with a very spicy green sauce and a coke for only $11. Everything was cooked perfectly. Chicken had crispy skin and perfectly juicy inside. Fries were delicious.

Absolutely terrible! Now as I’m driving home trying to suppress the urge of vomiting I realize certain new dinning experience are followed with nausea inducing urges paired with regret. The waitress forgot every single aspect of our order. Collectively we spent more time waiting than eating, mind you most of the food ordered was not fully consumed due to the overall taste and prep. Chupe de shrimp was good tasting though food poisoning may have come as a result. I applaud the efforts of the young man working there as his service resulted in a tip but overall I will not be returning nor will I be recommending this place to anyone.

It’s a little gem that should no longer be kept a secret from the rest of the San Fernando Valley or the city of Los Angeles. Not the fanciest of places but it has a decent ambiance because great food is its priority. I didn’t take pictures of my dish because it’s utter love at first sight and I’m immediately taken over by the aroma… there’s just no stopping me after the first bite. Everything is delicious but my go to digh is the “Ceviche mixto.” May your experience be as pleasant and as delicious mine. Enjoy!
