We’re working near the are I’ve eaten here 3 times in a row. The salsas are fantastic. The food taste authentic fresh and delicious. The staff is kind respectful and hardworking. It’s worth stopping by here, I highly recommend breakfast tacos and asada.

Staff is always welcoming, smiling, and happy to see us. We eat there an average of once biweekly. Food is consistently flavorful and tasty. The median access has been closed off due to the installation of a barrier, but don’t let that stop you from trying this hidden gem. It’s worth the extra travel distance!

It’s a bit out of the way but worth the trip. My brother discovered this place when he moved here some time ago and since I’m new and sometimes a bit skittish about unfamiliar restaurants he brought me along. Admittedly, the food isn’t fantastic but seems homemade and authentic, which is hard to find these days. They are very nice people, he said their business suffered because of road construction and covid. Be advised, the place closes at 2 pm so it would be best to plan ahead. I think it’s worth the effort and if I get the chance I will go back.

I wanted to like this restaurant because I live just down the road but unfortunately we will not be returning. We ordered 7 bean and cheese tacos, 2 fajita tacos with beans and cheese, 2 fajita tacos with avacado, guisada fries with cheese, and 2 sweet teas and it came out to just over $60. It caught me off guard to say the least because the menu that is attached to the website is not an updated copy and that’s what we were honestly going by. I returned home to find out that I was given and charged for taco soup instead of the fries (my fault for not checking before leaving). I called and whoever answered at first, needs to work on their customer service. I believe Mona was the 2nd person I talked to and she was a complete sweetheart and fixed the mistake that was made. Also, apologized for the misunderstanding, I appreciated that. It’s just too pricey and the food isn’t anything special. And they charge you for using anything besides cash for form of payment. Candela will remain our go to for great, reasonably priced Mexican food.

Not only is the food delicious as I have tried just about every plate on the menu… But the owners are absolute sweethearts, and go out of their way to make right, if something goes wrong, which in our experience has been hardly never. The atmosphere and the service has always been excellent. Way to go!

As always, food is good… but tbh the service is complete trash. I got to sit at a table for over an hour for 3 tacos and a menudo. We never got checked on and had to flag people for refills. Had to flag a random waitress to call our waitress. She came to us asking if we got our food. When we told her no she walked off and didn’t come back for another 20 minutes. Then had the audacity to say they are so busy with so many tickets (yet other tables who got there after us had already gotten their food). No apology or ownership of anything. How crazy that a place that is only open for breakfast is in the weeds on a Sunday that the wait staff doesn’t know how to work through. Highly disappointed in the overall experience. If I could, I’d give 0 stars on the service.
