The restaurant was very clean and neat. Nicely decorated. The waitress was exceptional, so friendly and helpful. There was a nice little bar you could go up to and choose different sauces and other things like cilantro, onions, cheese, etc, to put on what you ordered. I really liked this.

Going through town and stopped here to eat. Having never been here before we walked in the door and no one greeted us. Come to find out you seat yourself. Eventually a waiter came and took our drink order and brought us chips and salsa. We seen the condiment bar and asked about it and was told we can help ourselves. He told us there was a variety of salsas, sour cream, shredded cheese, lettuce, limes, pico and some corn mix. The majority of everything was out. All food items on menu are fairly priced. The majority of items are served with cheese sauce over it. We ordered Chori cheese dip, which was Mexican chorizo and cheese dip. It wasn’t horrible, cheese dip was runny. We also ordered bean, hamburger and cheese nachos and it wasn’t bad. They actually use hamburger instead of preseason meat. Then for main courses we ordered the Hawaiian chicken and Pollo Varta. Both co sister of chicken with grilled pineapple(pollo Varta included shrimp). The rice was not good at all. The taste was off and I still can’t tell you what it tasted like, but not good and not close to your traditional Mexican rice. The beans were lumpy and not good at all. The chicken is pounded out to a thin piece of paper. The pineapple is from a can and with the runny cheese sauce over it, it just kills it. Definitely won’t recommend this place or travel to visit there again. Staff was awkward and quiet and the atmosphere was off.

Great experience! Friendly service that is hard to find these days. Chips were hot, salsa was flavorful. The cheese dip also came hot and flavorful as well. We shared a tamale and Hawaiian chicken. Both were delicious! Again, so much distinct flavor–not standard Mexican fare. The salsa bar is great, too. Help yourself to a variety of salsa, sour cream, cheese, a corn salad that was excellent, and fresh cilantro, onions, and limes. All complimented our meals. The rice wasn’t my favorite but I liked the beans. They were getting quite busy as we were finishing our meal. Lots of close parking out back. We’ll definitely come again.
