L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele, the world-renowned Neapolitan pizzeria, debuted in the heart of Hollywood in 2019 as the first U.S. location. The restaurant’s authentic Neapolitan pizza is made using the same centuries-old recipe, techniques, and Italian imported ingredients at its origin restaurant in Naples, established in 1870. Head Pizzaiolo Michele Rubini helms the famed pizzeria, that also serves many Italian and Mediterranean specialties. Guests who visit L’ Antica Pizzeria da Michele are welcomed into beautiful “courtyards”, which serve as central gathering points for they can view pizzas being prepared in the restaurant’s imported stone oven.

I went with a friend in the early afternoon and had such an amazing experience! Mia was our server and she was so friendly, attentive, and engaging with us and our experience. It was evident she knows the menu and the restaurant very well and always had a smile on her face. Anna was the manager at the time and she checked in with us during our meal too to make sure everything was great. She was so kind and sweet too it made the whole experience even better! Everyone we interacted who worked at the restaurant was kind and friendly. Next time I am in town I will certainly go back and I hope to see these two lovely workers again.

A welcome addition to State Street! The outdoor seating is very cute, didn’t get a chance to peek inside. It was a gorgeous day so we were happy to grab one of the tables in the courtyard. The fritto misto was nice, though the serving size was a bit small for the price. Ordered a bottle of rosé and that guy the spot. Margherita pizza was good, I enjoyed the crust but the middle was a little soggy. I’d order pizza again and try some of the other ones. The pomodoro was excellent, looking forward to trying the other pastas on the menu.

Really good margarita pizza! I lived in Italy for over a year and I actually been to the original place in Naples and it’s not identical but it’s still really good Italian pizza! Might be one of the most authentic places in all of Santa Barbara for really Italian food. The arugula and prosciutto pizza was good but I liked the margarita pizza better!

We were very hungry and very excited trying out new restaurant in Santa Barbara. The waitress was nice, and very friendly to our pup to give her a fresh water bowl. We ordered two items for dinner, the Tagliatelle Al Pesto & Caserta Pizza. The pesto was pretty alright, it’s edible and tastes good 7/10. The pizza though… I’ve never tasted a Pizza like this, the burn taste was very overwhelming, I can barely taste the pizza itself but the burn after taste. It was 1:10.

Loud music and full of flies outside and inside too. I suggest you to clean the oven cause the pizza is great but the backside for the most part was black , and one time ok: I ate anyway but eat burnt food often is harmful to health ☠️ in Italy you never will see a burnt pizza except on the high border 😉

Food was ok, service could be much better. Likely due to the younger staff working. One suggestion, put those 3 pronged fans outside to deter flies. It’s inexpensive and makes all the difference. They sit atop the table and aren’t a distraction. The pizza was great, although I had to tell them to make it extra crispy, given the experience with my previous dining there. La Pescatora pasta so so. Bring a bottle of wine. Corkage is $20. Overall, the spot in LA is better.

This place originated in Naples, Italy. There is one in Hollywood, CA, and now there is one in Santa Barbara!! The food is incredibly yummy! The service is excellent! (Shout out to Jade, Thank you for your EXCELLENT service!! We felt appreciated and you are a great listener) We shared the Margherita Pizza, pasta (which tasted like Mac n cheese, and the fried calamari & zucchini. So many wonderful tastes dancing across our tongues! The wine list is extraordinary!! You’ll love the wine glasses, they make you feel positively regal. It’s located on the corner of Figueroa and State Street (where Aldos used to be). It’s charming and delicious! They are open 11 am to 4pm for counter service, 4 pm to 6pm for take out only, and from 6 pm to 10pm for Reservations Only. Enjoy!

Absolutely delicious fresh homemade pasta in house perfectly paired with proteins and plants. All three salads on the menu were absolutely fantastic. Not-to-miss especially of the three salads is the Caesar salad which had so much freshly finely grated Parmesan that it looked like a big bowl of rice. Everything we had was delicious and we highly recommend every dish on the small but well-curated menu.

A new restaurant on State St. We stopped in for a quick, late lunch. Sitting on the outdoor patio was very comfortable. I really enjoyed the beet salad and we shared a nutella dessert. Wonderful flavors!
