L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele, the world-renowned Neapolitan pizzeria, debuted in the heart of Hollywood in 2019 as the first U.S. location. The restaurant’s authentic Neapolitan pizza is made using the same centuries-old recipe, techniques, and Italian imported ingredients at its origin restaurant in Naples, established in 1870. Head Pizzaiolo Michele Rubini helms the famed pizzeria, that also serves many Italian and Mediterranean specialties. Guests who visit L’ Antica Pizzeria da Michele are welcomed into beautiful “courtyards”, which serve as central gathering points for they can view pizzas being prepared in the restaurant’s imported stone oven.

The recently opened outpost of the acclaimed Naples pizzeria has been a big hit in the west village. While upstairs dining area is vibrant with views of outdoors and the open kitchen and ovens. Downstairs is dark cluby area with music and semi private booths.

Everything was delicious! The pizzas are thin and light, but definitely not lacking in flavor. The pesto one was my favorite. Pastas are all fresh and delicious as well. We didn’t love the olive oil cake (the citrus on top was very bitter) but still giving 5 stars because the rest was great!

I have to admit that this particular style of pizza (Neapolitan-style pizza) is not to my taste. I knew pizza has a soggy (wet) center. But, (!!!) the pizza we got was terribly over-salted, making it virtually inedible. It was sent back immediately.

Good service and location. Place has a chill lounge downstairs and higher energy seating in the main floor. Food was good. Pizza just OK; the center of all the pizzas we ordered were soggy.

Came here mostly out of curiosity since I have been to the original in Naples a couple of years ago and absolutely loved the pizza there. At the original restaurant you get like 4 pizza options and they’re €5 each. The space of the original is small and hot so a lot of people opt to go to the bar opposite to eat their pizza there with a €1.50 aperol spritz.

The food and service here were amazing. It is an authentic Italian restaurant with roots in Napoli . Our waitress was wonderful and our food came out quickly. We got the meatballs and the diavola pizza with burrata both of which I would recommend. Will definitely be back!

Renowned pizza institution from Naples, Italy, L’Antica Pizzeria Da Michele, recently opened a new location in NYC’s West Village. The sprawling space features an open kitchen where vou can see the Neapolitan-style pies enter the large customized pizza oven. Many of the ingredients are imported from Italy, but everything is made in house and it shows in the quality and freshness of each dish.

Excellent pizza. It’s a 16” Neapolitan pizza basically. The ratio of ingredients I thought were perfect with the dough and sauce being perfect. The only compliant is the dough leans towards to soft to hold up at all. It could use a bit more sturdiness. Our favorite was the burrata on the marinara pie. Beware though heavy garlic so make sure you like that. The ambience and wine selection were great as well!

I stopped in to have a margarita pie and posted a premature review of this establishment. Upon further research; a traditional margarita pie is supposed to be a bit tomato-y and saucy. I had no clue. My review i posted initially stated i wasn’t impressed with the pie because I felt it was saucy. It was tasty.
