Lalo’s was the standout meal for my recent trip to STL. Everything was delicious and our server recommended their chipotle sauce, it was KILLER! My only complaint is that the building does not seem to be very accessible; the dining area is down a long flight of stairs. For those with disabilities or older folk this could be a problem. Take caution, but you will enjoy your meal!

I suggested Lalo’s for my sister’s birthday. It was my second time there. Ashley, our waitress for the night was professional, and knowledgeable of the menu. Our food was hot and good! I’m upset because we ate the food so quickly, we forgot to get pictures!! The potato skins were good, burger, onion rings, nachos, ravioli, and Caesar salad. The lemon pepper chicken was not that tasty however. That is not our last visit at Lalo’s. I do hope they will continue to upgrade in the future.

The only reason I’m rating a 4 vs a 5 is because of the lingering cigarette smoke smell from previous establishment. Decor is super-retro. Gave me “Regal Beagle” vibes. Fries were perfectly seaoned. No ketchup necessary. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Burger was cooked to perfection. Juicy and flavorful. Meat lovers pizza: dough had a hint of sweetness. Toppings were generous and fresh. Adam took great care of us. Will def be back!!

In a strip mall with a 7-11 and several other places. When you enter, you actually have to go down a flight of stairs to hit the bar and restaurant area. Only the restrooms seem to be on the ground level.

We ended up at Lalo’s by chance. Just scrolled Google maps looking for a place we had never been. We found this incredibly cozy place downstairs. For the first time in years I was torn on what to order. Luckily, what we got was fantastic and I’m more than pleased to need to come back to try the other dishes I passed on. I have my new place to go when I am craving lemon pepper dry rub wings. My wife found a pizza she loves. We’ll be back, sooner than later.

New place where the old Balducci’s was. Very good BBQ chicken pizza and salad that we got to go. Service was friendly and fast. Did not see any outside seating. Pretty good sized parking lot.

Great place!! Excellent pizza, especially the BBQ chicken ranch pizza. Its heavenly!! The potato skins are also really tasty, filling and thick. The staff (especially always-smiling Diane) are almost too nice and efficient. The owner too. You just dont find employees like they have anymore, at other restaurants. Customer service is basically a forgotten artform. And finally, and maybe the best part, the restaurant is located in a small strip mall, and u actually have to go down to the renovated basement, which is about 10 easy stairs, to get in. Its warmly decorated in wood tones, and it feels a bit like what a speakeasy night club, in the 60s wouldve felt like. Its also surprisingly large down there… i’d bet they have about 25 tables. We will definitely return.
