I drove an hour to try authentic Ethiopian food to experience this restaurant and the food had no taste or seasonings. The rice tasted like water. I don’t know what went wrong that night at the restaurant but food was not worth it. The samosas were a good appetizer and the service was good though I was very disappointed.

I’ve been recommended to try the vegan sample platter by so many of my friends, and it didn’t disappoint! It was satiating, nutritious, and offered so many diverse flavors. The owner and server were extremely hospitable and kind, and I found the restaurant to be an intimate and cozy setting 🙂

My first time trying Ethiopian food. Everything was great and well seasoned. Injera was very fluffy. Server was very attentive.

It was our first time trying Ethiopian food. Very delicious, the dishes come with either their tradition bread or rice. They also offer different levels of spicy. The service was good, clear menu with details of ingredients and clean environment.

My 4th time back. This is the best meal in Manhattan. Yea, I said it. Come on up to 113th street and taste the magic. Yes they have IPAs on tap and Yes the Miser Would will rock your taste buds and the Doro Tibs is the choice of Kings.

There was a ROCK in my food. I almost broke my tooth biting down on my food. Thinking it might have been an uncooked lentil.. no, a ROCK. When I called the restaurant to let them know, “Hello, may I speak to the owner / manager pls?” .. they hung up in my face.

The food I think is the breadwinner as the service wasn’t the best we got waited by 2 separate people but none came back asking how the food was in between or at the end we waited for a good solid ~15 minutes after we all stopped eating one person didn’t come out until another party came in to the restaurant to get seated and I had to ask for the check before she disappeared it was pretty empty not going to lie on a Wednesday afternoon and when we left it looked like the server had been siting at the bar on her phone and laptop which made sense on the poor service but the food itself was really good and filling we had a good assortment from beef, chicken, and, potatoes as well as some appetizers which were also delicious the prices are a little high but for the quality that’s given I think it’s fair enough if they can fix their staff to be more attentive then I wouldn’t be shocked it would have over 5 stars

The have a gluten free Injera option. I think it is called “black” when served gluten-free. Based on the servers explanation, this seems to be the preferred method as it tears easier.
