I must’ve ordered the most uninteresting food on the menu. A colleague (kind of) chose this place during our lunch break. I tried to order a quick meal since I knew we needed to head back. I ordered boneless wings and a salad. The wings were quite hard and heavily breaded. I think they were mechanically processed chicken bits. No flavor. Lack of meat. The side salad was decent but it was missing croutons. We ordered as take out- so I didn’t look at my food until we returned to work- and I was so disappointed. I threw the chicken away and made do with the salad. Coworker did not speak about food. I don’t even remember what she ordered.

It’s definitely a big no to this restaurant. To start off the poor food quality and portions did not match the prices. Our waitress wasn’t attentive, our drinks were not refilled . She didn’t check on us , we had to stop her when we needed something like the bread we asked for and never received. To top it off and end our experience. We were charged a 20% gratuity and normally that wouldn’t be a problem, however our waitress definitely did not deserve that much . I do not recommend this place .

We had a wonderful breakfast over the weekend. The service was on point. The veggie omelette was cooked perfectly. The over medium eggs were more like over easy. The toast is homemade (wheat and raisin) and cut thick. The rye bread was wonderful. The Italian sausage was full of flavor. We will definitely be back. They have a lunch and dinner menu as well.

This place has very good lake fish that is fresh caught and well prepared. The interior/atmosphere is is decent and has an old-school vibe, the facilities were clean, and they have off street parking out back. The service is good; our waitress was polite and attentive. We went for a late lunch in the mid afternoon and there was hardly anyone there. Probably gets pretty busy during dinner time. My only complaint was that the drink options left much to be desired. They didn’t even have it on their menu.

Save your money and go somewhere else. The portions were small, the chair I sat in was dirty, everyone’s sides were put on the table at different times. Our server let our drinks go unfilled, didn’t ask how anything tasted (which I can tell you now was mediocre at best) Right before my meal came out I asked her for more rolls and we never got them. The kicker was, after many unfinished plates at our table, we were handed a bill charging us a 20% gratuity and a $4 plus charge for using a card to pay, which was odd seeing how we hadn’t mentioned that’s how we’d be paying but were charged ahead of time anyways. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m a tipper, good service will outweigh mediocre food any day and get you a good tip from me, however, this server did not deserve the tip I was forced to pay! I will never go again and will gladly discourage anyone I know from going as well. If I could give a zero star rating I gladly would!

Very cute place, price was right, service was great! Personally wasn’t a fan of the turkey sausage patty but i do believe it was homemade.

Lakeway has always been a home town favorite for my family and I. Whether it is breakfast, lunch, or dinner, we all have our favorite “go to” dishes! You can clearly tell they care about their food quality because the majority of food is fresh and home made. Highly suggest the french toast for bfast on any choice of their homemade breads. Hands down the best italian wedding soup I have ever had. Zesty Bow Ties and Chicken Marsala are must haves as well! Growing up in Ashtabula, it’s always felt great supporting local family owned businesses. I hope you can do the same!

Our first visit was very good. We had great food for reasonable price. Our server was great and made our lunch very pleasant. All this and after reading their menu found they also work with healthcare to ensure their food meets healthy guidelines. We will be back
