Started in the family business at a very young age. we owned the King George Diner in Wayne for over 30 years.
Through hands on experience and further my education in culinary, I am a chef by Trade. The back of the house is where my heart lies. I am schooled in American Continental with a Mediterranean twist. I run my business as i was taught by my great chef, my father Jerry whom was taught by Morris Balmin the original owner of the original Clairmont Diner in Verona. Great experience! Terrific food in a traditional Jersey diner. And their Manhattan Clam Chowder, a favorite of mine, was the best I’ve had anywhere – even in NYC! We also had the bowl of steamed little neck clams. Tender, fresh and with enough butter garlic bread, to share as an appy or alone as a meal.

Cute diner reminds me of when I used to go to king George diner in wayne with my grandparents… staff is friendly, some more attentive than others our waiter is and was great his ne is Roberto he is awesome!(will have to get his name next visit) there is a young guy always walking around on his phone I often wonder what his purpose is but at least the owner walks around and checks on tables to make sure everyone is good. I believe they should make a petite menu I see way to many patrons throw away their food and it gets upsetting since so many live without the things we have but that is my opinion. We look forward to going back when possible . And a word to those whether its here or anywhere have some patience when the establishment is busy.

Service was awesome. Folks were super friendly and checked on our table regularly. The meal was just ok. My wrap was a bit smaller than at other diners and the taste was not too memorable. Kids ate some of their macaroni and cheese which had a thinner sauce. Again, just ok. It was convenient with a fair amount of parking.

Chris and crew catered a party I had in my backyard. Amazing food and service! The hand passed appetizers were a huge hit! The buffet was delicious. Chris was easy to get a hold of during the planning and made great suggestions for the menu. Highly recommended!!

We had our breakfast there and it was just oerfect place for it!! Great choice of breakfasts, specials, pancakes, eggs, etc. Big plates, rather say enormous!:) my husband and I ordered special no 11,12 and 6 and we together could not finish it, two would be just enough for us. Pancakes are somethink special, if you are pancake-lover as me you should definitely try it here! Great service and nice prices are just another advantage of this place. Highly recommend!

Perfect spot for Sunday morning breakfast! Good prices, fast service, and tasty food. My group had pancakes, omelets, eggs over easy, homefries, and different toast with coffee. Everyone enjoyed their breakfast- it was $52 for 5 people. Prices are very reasonable.
