I wanted to like this place so much because my parents love it but I honestly couldn’t like the food. The chopped pork was dry and lacked flavor. For as many bbq restaurants in this area you really have to stand out and for me this just didn’t. I do have to mention how friendly the staff was though! The owner was SUPER nice and even brought us a cup of Brunswick stew to taste and a couple of ribs.

This was the Best Bar B Que ribs, I have ever eaten, they are so tender. they just fall off the bone, their BBQ sauce is delicious. The staff is very friendly, very good, fast service. I will definitely be eating there again and again.

Great barbecue at reasonable prices and the perfect serving size for lunch. Amazing cobbler as well. Highly recommend this little secret of a find to anyone who enjoys Carolina style BBQ. And peach cobbler.

Absolutely the best barbecue, barbecue salad and stew I’ve eaten in awhile. I ran across Lake- Shore’s while doing a ‘Gig’ in Denver, NC. Owners and staff very friendly, even gave samples! Family oriented, Clean establishment! Sooo glad I found it!!

I wish I could give a better rating but I thoroughly do not understand how a BBQ restaurant could only offer ribs 3 days a week. It makes no sense to me. Also, political news on the television is very tacky. Just put on ESPN or something.

LOVED this place growing up, yet every time I come back to NC they are always closed. Such a pain in the behind to drive over, after checking google for times to find them to be closed with only a note on the door. Food is fantastic, when they chose to be open…

If you like chopped pork and vinegar based sauce, this is heaven! These guys do BBQ in the traditional eastern NC style, and everyone in my house loves it. Hush puppies and BBQ slaw are delicious.

Poor customer service. As i was ordering, the woman at the register snapped her fingers at me to hurry up when i was asked what sides i wanted. The food was exceptional, however it was distasteful after my experience at the menu counter.
