Sooo these oxtail were AMAZING. 100% exactly what I needed in my life. Literally turning frowns upside down. Best Haitian cuisine you’re going to find probably in all of VA. Definitely worth checking out!

For a while now I’ve been lamenting the fact that we live in a Haitian food desert here in Virginia. The closest Haitian restaurants were at least 200 miles away in each direction. I had to constantly deal with my brother in Florida taunting me with his casual mention of having Haitian takeout.

Oh my God. I thought I died and went to heaven. I had the fried snapper. It was so fresh and tasty. The flavor just burst in my mouth. The seasoning was on point. I will definitely come back.

I love Haitian food and could not find it anywhere in the Richmond Virginia area! No longer a sad day for me since I found Lakay Zaz !!!

I ordered oxtail. Too salty. Rice and beans not bad. I would recommend “something tropical” in Dinwiddie VA. It is authentic Jamaican. I would not recommend oxtail.

Sooooo good! Food is so well seasoned and the service was kind. I thought it tasted like home-cooking and that means a lot! Food was hot, fresh, and well portioned. Loved the snapper, griot, and tassot

If I could leave ZERO stars I definitely would. The woman at the front was so rude!! She literally closed the door in my face knowing I was waiting for an order to come up. I will never come back here again.
