I’ve been to Lago several times over the last decade. In the beginning the food was amazing. A few years back they seemed to fall away from caring about the people, the atmosphere and the food had definitely suffered. I recently returned and it’s back! The staff was awesome, the food was amazing in quality, taste and presentation. I can’t wait to return to Lago for many more years to come, plus the view is perfect.

Beautiful location, really great service, but don’t sit outside to eat near dusk or sunset unless it’s at the end of your visit because they dont have enough lighting at the tables for someone to actually see their food to eat. And I can see quite well at night. Our salads came, which were delicious, but we both had to hold our phones with one hand and eat with the other. All well and good but there was two problems: the phone flash lights blinded the other person on the other side of the table and unless you have three arms – you actually have to put the phone down to cut your food which leaves you completely back in the dark trying to figure out where your food is! SMH. We asked for a candle, but they said they had none for the outside. They spoke of fire hazard with grass, etc. I get that but there are plenty of small quite safe led electric glow lanterns they could purchase on Amazon to help – not to mention cheap led lights that attach around the upper parts of the umbrellas that will gently light up the whole table. Onward to the main meal: We both ordered chicken dishes – marsella and parmigian. (We had steak and lobster just the day before). Both had tasty sauces, but on both dishes, the chicken was a bit tough with unknown – even tougher – “grizzle” pieces in the meat. (Where are those in a chicken breast? ) On the marsella dish, I could hardly find any mushrooms at all (1, maybe 2). I only really found onion pieces in my marsella sauce. I would sadly, not recommend those dishes at all unless you really like to saw at your chicken – which if you do – don’t sit outside to order and watch the sunset unless you bring your own headlamp when your meal comes.

Staff was fabulous and so was the food, everything was super flavorful and fresh. I was with one other person and we got the bruschetta & burrata as an appetizer and the Eggplant and Cioppino as entrees. I had the Eggplant and it was the best Eggplant dish I’ve had. The overall service was great. Can’t wait to come back with the rest of my family.

We made reservations for my mom’s 70th birthday weeks in advance. We were a party of 12 on a busy Friday night. We were seated right away. Justin was our server and he was attentive and awesome. The food was excellent and came out super quick – especially for a large party. Great experience!

I heard a lot about this place so we decided to try. We got there around 7 and I was packed but we got right in. The placed looked great and had a great vibe. The old new England look. The service here was a godsend. Our server Sally was over the top amazing and professional. She had a blast knowledge of the drink menu and dinner menu. The drinks were on Point. The bread that comes with it was perfect. The food was terrific. The only problem was a very limited menu. Definitely recommend coming here

We had a superb family dinner at Lagos. The food was delicious and they went out of their way to cater for our 14 month old son’s allergies. The service was brilliant. Everyone was friendly, helpful and attentive. Finally, the views of the lake were spectacular, making for a really special dinner.

If I could give this restaurant 10 stars then I would not hesitate to do it. Everything was absolutely exquisite: the view, the service, the food, the atmosphere, everything. We started our dinner with a basket of bread that was perhaps the best bread I have ever had; truly it was just beyond. The dinner portions were respectable and the bolognese was the best pasta I have ever tasted. Lago is everything you’d expect and more. I would definitely make the hour trip back just to eat at this restaurant again.

Arrive early, if not your going to wait…..great food and better view of the lake! Food was good and server was easy going and never felt like we are being pushed to buy more drinks or to leave. In fact, they told us take time and enjoy the view.
