Charming atmosphere, authentic Mexican food. Decor is wonderful from the statues at the entry to the unique chairs, stone walls and open wood beams. Such a beautiful ambiance, perfect for a date night or family outting. The food was spectacular! The rice actually had flavor which seems to be hard to find. The Chile relleno was packed with cheese and a wonderful mix of flavors. The enchilada was amazing as well, plenty of meat which was seasoned perfectly and the red sauce packed some heat which I loved. Fajitas came out sizzling. Portions were perfect to leave you nice and full. Overall excellent hidden gem.

Fantastic in every way. Intimate setting with high ceilings, stone walls, dimly light with giant, antique chandeliers. All of the food is tremendous. Mexican fine dining at its best. Salsa Is unique, loaded with flavor, without the overbearing heat so common to this area. My wife’s enchiladas were the best I’ve ever tasted. The meat inside was so tender and the red sauce they use is absolutely the best. The steak fajitas were cooked perfectly medium. The flavor of the grilled poblanos it comes with put me in Mexican food heaven. The GM, Hawkin, was very attentive. We can’t wait to go back. Prices are spot on given the quality and portion size. How have I not heard of this place!?!

Not sure what’s going on here. We walked in on a Friday evening, the doors were propped open but the place was empty of customers and no staff in sight. The radio was on the highest possible sound level, so we figured people were somewhere. We rang a bell to get the staff’s attention and were greeted promptly. We asked for a table for two if they could turn the radio down. They said no, so we left. It was an odd experience.

La Cava is the best Mexican restaurant that you don’t know about in Colorado Springs. They are located in a business/medical park, which is a little strange but their food is well worth the journey. I was able to try their lamb tacos, mole and their guacamole and it was some of the best Sonoran style Mexican food I’ve ever had!!! The server, Jules, was a total sweetheart when we visited. She was very attentive and took great care of my party. Things are quieter for lunch and they say that La Cava gets a little busier for dinner. I wasn’t able to try their margarita but I heard it’s to die for!!!

interesting experience.. Went for dinner around 5:30pm on a Sunday and we were the only people in the restaurant the entire time. The food was very good, i would definitely eat it again. $35 for bottomless chips and salsa, enchiladas, and a seafood chimichanga with rice and bean sides. Cool interior. It’s in an office park type location so it was a little confusing to find.

Had not visited LA Cava in a couple years. We were in the area and looking forward to some more upscale Mexican food. Sadly, we could see La Cava is now under new ownership and with now features a very standard menu. Thr place is still nice inside, but the food was very average Mexican food you can find at every other Mexican restaurant.

Went from being a hidden gem and our favorite restaurant, to the worst quality food we have ever tasted.

We loved it! We had the enchiladas suizas, steak fajitas, and beef taco salad with a few cocktails. The queen marble drink was delicious I had to stop myself from ordering another. We all loved our meals, it was definitely a different style of Mexican vs the super fast/extra large portion style mexican joint I’ve typically been to but I enjoyed the change. All the food was very well prepared and we all left stuffed but not feel like we drowned in cheesy grease. Enchiladas were perfect and the steak fajitas were super tender and cooked perfectly.
