Dignified American
Authentic Oaxacan cuisine that is family owned.

Small restaurant with wide selection. I went with a group of 7 and was good for that large size. I had Huarache with steak and was great. Also had tamarind drink which was excellent

When it comes to a must-try Mexican restaurant in Moorpark, this is it! However, I must admit our first visit the food was a 3.75 star experience. The owner gave us great customer service on our first visit, we placed an order on a food item that had sold out and to make up for the inconvenience she threw in some freebies. We gave this place a second shot and I’m so glad we did. Since then the food has been a 5 star experience. We’ve tried several food options from their menu: guacamole, salsas, mole, queso birria tacos, chile relleno, tortas, burritos and a fish dish. The portions were generous, ensuring that I had enough to enjoy later. The ambiance is casual, small for large parties with a few tables for parties of 4. Parking lot is small but I always manage to find a spot.

Delicious. Friendly customer service. Birria is on point, breakfast burritos are incredible, and their Zapoteca burrito is amazing. You can tell they put a lot of love into each dish. I am so glad I found this place for best Mexican food in moorpark.

Very sincere, sweet place. Delicious authentic food with heart. I was on the road and glad I stopped and found this humble yummy gem, just what I needed. Thank you

I tried their horchata, but it wasn’t that good, it was lacking cinnamon, their food is good, at least the zapoteca burrito, was fine, it needs a little more flavor…

Stopped here at this unique place while visiting the area for an event with some time to kill before hand. While not much to look at from the outside, I actually enjoyed my experience here as the small dining area reminded me of someone’s kitchen plus the lady here in was very friendly and I felt I was talking with my Mexican grandma rather than an employee. She even came up to my table afterwards to ask if I enjoyed my meal which consisted of a large carne asada burrito that cost me $7 and a large bottle of Coca-Cola that was $2 all payable in cash which is the only form of payment they accept. Sorry no credit or debit cards. You order and pay at the counter. The atmosphere was homey and the burrito, which was on an actual glass plate with a real metal metal fork, was great! While I don’t frequent the Moorpark area often. I would definitely return here for some tasty authentic Mexican fare in a genuine atmosphere.

I am Oaxacan myself and this is a place that gets it as close as to what I can remember. Worth a try for sure!
