This place was incredible. The bread was freshly baked and tasted fantastic along with and herb butter and fresh olive oil. The pizza skins are a great app. Highly recommend them. The pasta fragiol soup was piping hot and had a great flavor. My veal franchises was so tender I cut it with my fork. The pasta was lite and tasted homemade. The red gravy, sauce as some of you call it, was very good a little on the sweet side. The staff was very nice attentive and friendly. Having eaten in great Italian restaurants around the country and around the world La Trattoria is at the top of my list. Enjoy.

My review can only reflect one lunch experience, but the value and taste of the food convinces me to give them this rating. I purchased a soup and sandwich combo for $7.99, which I thought was a great deal. They give you great bread with herbed butter, which was delicious. The soup was good and the sandwich portion was abundant. I wasn’t expecting my cheesesteak to be of the red sauce variety, so I was disappointed with that aspect. But even so, it was quite tasty. It came with a pasta salad that I didn’t care for, but would be a good additional value for someone with different taste buds. Quick service and easy access to the highway make this a good option for lunch on the road.

The restaurant is quaint, clean, and smells of a wood fired grill which adds to the overall ambience. The service was good as were the prices. My husband ordered the rigatoni with vodka sauce, and I tried the sampler of fettuccini Alfredo, lasagna, and chicken parmesan. He said the rigatoni was good and would order it again. I felt the sampler would give me a good idea of the sauce, ricotta, and Alfredo sauce which are basics in Italian cuisine. While each sample were what seemed full size servings, I found them on the dull side. I enjoyed each dish but found no stars among them. This does not mean I won’t be back to try something else, I just know it won’t be any ricotta filled items and not the chicken again. I did like the Alfredo sauce but it needed a bit more cheese. I did enjoy the red sauce on the lasagna and chicken. The salads were perfect and fresh, as was the warm bread. We shared a slice of cheesecake with strawberries, which was excellent and creamy. We enjoyed meeting the owner who made his way to each table. We will return.

This is our go to place to NEVER be disappointed. Food is delicious and the service topnotch. We just had the pumpkin pasta special and manicotti. Sooo good. The regular menu is wonderful and I look forward to the monthly specials. It’s where we take our family and friends knowing it will be a good, tasty time.

I don’t go often, and then I remember why. Service was fair, soup was bland, calamari was undercooked, and my pasta tasted like it was cooked in the same pot as the seafood. My daughter’s meal was better, and she was hungry, or else I would have left the food on the table.

Quaint, family owned business loaded with real Italian flavor. One of the freshest places out there, their dough for the pizza and bread is made daily in house as well as their noodles for the pasta, cut fresh right before they cook it for you. One can’t forget the wood fire brick oven that makes for an unforgettable flavor, smell, atmosphere and good time!

I was there 2 weeks ago for my birthday with a party of 8. Have been here before and never had a bad meal or service. But that day was terrible. A friend ordered a French Martini. The waitress brought it to her and said “taste this” with a disgusted look on her face. Hmmm that makes someone feel like its going to be yummy. NOT! It was terrible didn’t even taste like or have the color of a French martini. The same woman order some kind of chicken over pasta with shrimp. Had the pasta and chicken but no shrimp. Asked nicely I never got my shrimp. Comes back with shrimp and cocktail with side of butter. Really? Very disgusted. Like I said never had a problem til that night. And I never write reviews. But I figure I would bring it to someone’s attention.

This is a nice italian restaurant! All the food is wonderful and the specials are great too. My favorite is the creamy rissoto! You can get it instead of pasta and its to die for! Also their house dressing is oh so good too! They have a wood brick oven and their rolls also wonderful with the seasoned butter that goes with it. Just a nice experience overall!

Right now I am so pissed. I went to this restaurant tonight ( 11/18/14 ) with my son. I ordered Fried Calamari as an appetizer and Lollipop Lamb as a main course. There was 1/4 inch of oil on the bottom of the plate of calamari which I didn’t notice until I was halfway finished with them. I told my waitress about it and she gave me an extra napkin to soak up the grease. When my lamb chops came to the table they were RAW on the inside. That just tells me they were frozen when the chef ( I use that term very loosely) started cooking them. I showed it to my waitress and she said she would have him finish cooking them. I’m not the type of person to send anything back. I feel that if I send something back, it insults the chef and he’ll most definitely spit in my food so I’m just not sending anything back. No way. I told her to just wrap it up and I’ll finish cooking it at home. The waitress said she would have to inform her manager about it anyway. I said fine. You would think the manager would come to the table and at least apologize or possibly take the item off the bill. That never happened. The people at this place handled the situation extremely unprofessionally. I don’t think I’ll ever be back there again. My son loves the pasta and the bread but I’m just so turned off by the place now. HUGE THUMBS DOWN.

Great food, great price. Try the Mangia, Mangia Special. Full meal with all you can eat main entrees. Bread is delish. Feeling glutenous? Try the 2 pound challenge – 2 lbs pasta and 6 meatballs. Finish in a setting and you will be enshrined on the wall.
