This is a hidden gem! Must go place for breakfast & lunch. Food quality is amazing. The food is fresh & made to order. I had the Al pastor & carne asada tacos and they were delicious & flavorful. The tacos I had were good because the tortillas are homemade.

We were greeted with chips and salsa. The chips were crispy & warm & the salsa was tasty. First time here so we decided on menudo and breakfast tacos. The flour tortillas are thin and soft. A couple corn tortillas came with the menudo and I thought those were better. Tacos were good, but not as filled as I would expect. The menudo was good too & I would go back for it. They also sell buñuelos and churros which you don’t find everywhere. Nice small place to eat at.

This place is amazing. Prices are very reasonable and the food is delicious. The owner, George is extremely friendly and generous. Let us try the atole champurrado… it was SO GOOD. We will definitely be back.

Food: The food was really good, I have been trying Mexican food overseas but failed to get the punch of the real taste. This restaurant is my first Mexican food in San Antonio, Texas and I am superb satisfied. We enjoyed the generous amount of food and we were glad that we had a good food!

The staff was great, the food was not good. Chips and salsa was brought out to me. Chips were stale and salsa was extremely watery. I ordered enchiladas Verdes and they were soggy. Felt like I was eating soup. Beans ans rice were okay but I was disappointed with the enchiladas and chips and salsa. The staff was nice and the place was clean.

Stepping into this place was a huge mistake. The food was okay, not spectacular. But the person working there guaranteed we’ll never be back. I’m guessing he could be the owner. A man who resembles a Hispanic Frank Costanza both visually and in temperament. Most unfriendly human being I’ve ever met. When he came to take our order, he just stood there and stared at us. Just stared at us. Hating the fact that customers actually came into the establishment. Such a weird human being that should not be anywhere near customers. I don’t recommend this place to people who expect to be welcomed and treated nicely in an establishment .

Cafe de olla is served here, not the blend but their family recipe! Food and setting has that homemade feel. Please check them out . Support local business.
