We had a food blast lastnight: veal, salmon, seabass, lobster, and black caviar.

LA Spiga is a phenomenal restaurant experience. We had Santiago for our server, and he was delightful and knowledgeable. He made our outdoor dining experience the best! It’s a must!

The first time or two that you go, you will feel like a star. We were feted and have enjoyed seeing others experience the thrill of their first visit. But later? You may have misses during your dining experience when they’re maybe too busy or preoccupied to help you. I once had a reservation that was canceled by them last minute (possibly to accommodate a larger or more VIP party) and when I contacted them for an explanation – several times – I got crickets. It is what it is, and it’s not unusual to experience these kinds of things in a city that deals with a lot of tourists and first-timers. The food is good but the not worth the drive from the strip. No need to respond to my review, to seek or give more explanation or whatever, there have been chances for you to do so and it is what it is. In a city with hundreds of very good restaurants, I won’t be coming back here.

My Wife and I enjoyed our Honeymoon dinner here and was so glad I picked this place for this occasion. We just got back from Italy and the food here absolutely matched the food back in Italy. We had the nicest server who sounded like he was from Italy and the atmosphere was beautiful Outside and Inside. We are making this a stop every time we come back to Palm Desert.

Decent meal and service, however for the prices it should have been spectacular. The side dish of spaghetti with lemon and garlic was cooked to perfection.

A special occasion restaurant in an area that has a lot of restaurants but few relaxing dining experiences. We’ve been a few times, and the food has always been excellent. The patio is beautiful. The service is attentive and warm. Hard to get a reservation in season.

We made a reservation about 5 hours beforehand, we were greeted both on the telephone and in person, in the most personable and genuine way. The valet opened both the car doors and the restaurant doors for us. The staff was extraordinarily friendly, informative, courteous, and polite. We ordered drinks and tried a few wines off the “glass” menu. Our server, Miguel, was fast and always around when we needed something. Had no problem answering our questions. If he was busy, there was always another waiter or another staff member to answer our questions. We had our antipasti and primi at the table on the patio we reserved. The patio was actually quite warm under the heat lamps (when I called ahead earlier in the day I had asked if they had ueat lamps on the patio area and they sat us under the best one, simply because I asked about them). And for dessert, as the restaurant was actually closing, they let us take our tiramisu and cannoli, with our cappuccinos down by the outdoor fireplace. The food was all around amazing, the atmosphere was so romantic and beautiful, you could just hear the opera playing in the background over the quiet conversations of other patrons. Best place I’ve had my birthday, period. I cannot wait to go back.

I would call this premier Italian restaurant in Palm Desert. The ambiance and decor reflects an upscale dining experience but the outdoor patio creates the quintessential laidback desert evening dining experience. Sport coats not needed.
