The food is good, but in my opinion the food is no fresh, ( chicken most likely left over from the night before). We got beans, rice, sancocho and chicken. Sancocho was tasty.

Food is not fresh. Seems like it’s from the day before but the food is 100% not all made the same day. But food is very good when it’s not left over. It’s a shame that they serve left over food instead of freshly cooked food otherwise this would be a great spot. Other reviews about the food not being fresh are true sadly

Would be nice if I got to eat. 5-10 mins of being ignored at the counter and the register, not once asked or acknowledged if I’d like to place an order. It was slow, the 2 other people in front were already served–and I wasn’t invisible. Maybe they only serve other Spanish speakers. They are too many places on Main St to ever bother coming back here to put up with unprofessional women behind the counter playing on their phones, watching their kids, eating and socializing.

Staff was nice. That’s the only positive I got out of it. I got pernil, it was dry with ZERO flavor. The yellow rice was hard and old. The habichuelas had also ZERO FLAVOR.

Just don’t come around lunch. It’s yesterday’s leftovers. The food wasn’t that bad but they got to make fresh new food for the day and throw out yesterday’s.

Great customer service, fresh and delicious food of course! Very affordable food and top notch around the area of Hackensack for a fast serving restaurant. I would recommend this place 10/10!! Will always come back to the great food and great service. The environment is nice and quiet, not too loud which makes it a nice setting to eat. Thank you for the delicious food!

Don’t judge a book by its cover. This family owned business cooks better and has great tasting food than the competition in the neighborhood.. they seem to be short on staff for now, with more traffic; presentations of the food will improve… but like I said, don’t judge ask to try it if you need to bc they do cook very well here. I am not related, nor am I being paid for this review. I have been in this neighborhood for 5 years now, and I have been largely disappointed with the food options, quality, and price. We need more food options in downtown hackensack by people who care about their services. Reina del Sabor is one of the only places where the food is worth the money.

Honestly I was so disappointed in this restaurant because the customer service sucks and the food that I really wanted they did not have it that day. The waitress they didn’t know how to answer my questions and seems to not know what was on the menu. Maybe she was knew but it was not a good experience. I would not come back to this restaurant. The place don’t look clean at all.
