Another good place to eat in New Brunswick. This one is not a large place, so be prepared. The food is very good authentic Puerto Rican food. I had the stewed chicken lunch special. It came with rice, beans and a side salad. The daily specials here are incredible, and I highly recommend this place for those who like good Puerto Rican cuisine.

I decided to try this restaurant for the first time, ordering through Uber eats. I ordered a roast chicken meal, a roast pork meal, papa rellenas, and beef empanadas. Overall, the food could have been more flavorful. The papa rellena barely had any beef , unseasoned and dry. I was completely disappointed in the pernil. The cuts of meat they sent were all fat…it didn’t even look cooked… Just off putting. I don’t think anyone would serve that to an in person customer, so I’m not sure why it was ok to serve it to one purchasing delivery. Unfortunately, this missed the mark and I wouldn’t be returning or recommending this place.

Best Puertp Rocan food I’ve had beside my grandmother’s. Service is amazing. I’ve been going here for 20 plus years it’s always a great experience, good prices, big portions. Just be ready to take a nap afterward!

We had the opportunity to try the food stand at the Allentown Fall Festival. We enjoyed what we had overall. The pork kabob was good. The pork was moist, and the flavor was pleasant if not exceptional. The rice and plantains were very good. We liked it enough that we would certainly try the restaurant if we were in the area.

Food is delicious but need more flavor unfortunately. The people was so polite and patient w me and my friend because we had tons of questions about their food. It was our first time eating at this restaurant. I recommend this place the Whiting Fish was delicious but the beans wasn’t as flavorful. I would come back for the Whiting Fish..

Great taste and quality! The portions are large enough to get 2, maybe 3 meals out of one. Definitely authentic Puerto Rican cooking. It reminded my husband of home.

Love eating at this place! The food is VERY good – authentic Puerto Rican and as someone who grew up on rice and beans this place feels like a home away from home. The staff is very friendly and personable and the place has a homey feel. It’s a not a fancy place but the food is great the prices reasonable. I eat here several times a month – the food is that good!

Passing through the neighborhood before jumping on the highway and was starving. Could not have picked a better restaurant. Good portions and delicious savory food. Very likable staff. Highly recommended!!

love supporting this small local mom/pops restaurant! we ordered the following dinner platters: bistec, mofongo & chicharron , and pernil. the bistec was so flavorful although the meat was a little tough to chew. they give you a side salad and 3 platano maduro with each platter and your choice of rice.
