This little quaint restaurant is so cute and the view of the mountains is gorgeous. I ordered the shredded beef tacos for Taco Tuesday with rice and beans. This place opened only 3-4 weeks ago, so I decided to come check it out. Staff greeted me right away and were very friendly. I got the Superior nachos which had a nice presentation to it and was really good. The only thing I would change is to have fresh melted cheese instead of nacho cheese.

We had the street tacos, beef, they had great flavor but were really small. My husband had it with the beans and rice, he is from New Mexico, he felt they fell flat no flavor, beans were thin. We ordered chips and salsa, chips were not what you would expect round and store bought, not good, salsa was awesome. Let’s talk price, 2 small street tacos, some rice and loose beans, $13.99 my husband left hungry.

After spending a few hours at the Arboretum we found La Plaza, a cute bright yellow building that housed attentive and cheerful staff. We chose to sit outside and enjoy the amazing mountain views. We enjoyed the chili asada tacos with rice and beans. Both refried and whole beans available & delicious. The street tacos were filled with tender and flavorful meat along with cabbage, an avocado crema and a green chili lining the bottom of the taco. The chili taco, along with the house salsa made for a flavorful bite. I felt the spice level was perfect but my friend felt it was too spicy for her so she just used less and was happy. It was one of best Mexican restaurants I have ever eaten at! I will happily drive an hour to enjoy this amazing new restaurant!

Absolutely the best Mexican cuisine in Superior. Authentic and well prepared from the pico to the carne asada! I’ve never been a fan of refried beans but here they have flavor! The Spanish rice is spot on and the carne asada is perfect, not over done, tender and flavorful. When folks ask us where to go for Mexican cuisine, I will highly recommend La Plaza!

We walked over from Porter’s since they were not providing ANY service on a Saturday at noon. What a wonderful happenstance! Very small place, but very friendly staff and wonderful food. Of special mention was the potato plate. Baked and smothered with delectable ingredients. I had a delicious burrito. We will be back!
