Quesa birria tacos were delicious but I’m glad I also ordered the off the chart good fish tacos. There was one person waiting tables and answering the phone and working cashier but considering the times with short staffing everywhere and Marcella’s work ethic I’ll say I’m good with the service. I will definitely come back again.

Delicious food and friendly staff! We were very excited to find birria in Wilmington, and they did not disappoint. The queso empenadas were also delicious. They also have a big selection if Mexican beers. Highly recommend for authentic Mexican food. This restaurant will definitely become a regular spot for us.

I had found out about this authentic, Mexican restaurant by hearing from a few others who had recently visited AND by being in contact with the individual being behind their social media platforms. After being assured by this representative that we would love everything about La Oaxaquena Taqueria, I finally decided to try them out on Cinco de Mayo. I advised the social media guru for the restaurant that I wanted to make a reservation for 6:30 pm and they replied with happy face emojis.

They change the price of the food at the register and they don’t respect the costumer when you express the concern. They look at you like you’re crazy. I’d give this restaurant 0 stars if I could. The food is also very bland. The tacos weren’t worth it to pay 4.50 each. I can buy a whole pack of tortillas and then some with that.

Best Mexican in Wilmington!! 12/10 rate for the food and service. I ordered 80 tacos to go for a party and everyone couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the food was. The staff is so loving and gave great service. Highly recommend the el pastor tacos, guacamole, queso, and all their salsas are delicious! Can’t wait to go back!
