I have been to La Mesa twice now and I’m definitely going to be talking about this place to family and friends. The service is absolutely wonderful, very attentive and nice! The chips and salsa hit the spot with the salsa being a little spicy for me but it’s just the right amount of heat.The first time I got the pollo asodo and my husband got a tornado burrito I do believe ( I can’t exactly remember the name!) and it was absolutely delicious!!!!and a I decided to get the house enchiladas (two chicken, one cheese) and some of the best I’ve had in a long time. Everything was seasoned and cooked great and so very good I had NOTHING left on my plate. The person I brought with me ordered the taco salad and said it was a 9 out of 10 and they can be hard to choose a restaurant without being nervous about it! I got the churros for dessert and they hit the spot! I was in a food coma by the time I left! For me it’s a 10/10! Definitely try it!!!

Went here about noon on a Sunday. The parking lot was full, so I assumed the wait would be long. To my surprise, we (party of 5) were seated very quickly. The service was excellent as our drinks never got fully empty. The food was great. Two of us had the Mexican Papa, the wife had the taquitos, and I had the Chori burrito. The price was roughly about $10 to $14 per person. I would recommend trying this place. Outer exterior appearance hides the great service and food inside. I will definitely come back to this great place

Food is GREAT! tried this place 2 years ago and it was BLAND. But now the plates are full of flavor! Inside atmosphere is kind of cold and echoing – needs to be warmer and more inviting. But outside Atmosphere is on point! Love the twinkle lights and covered seating!

Friendly staff and our server did a great job. A couple people in our group were a little bummed that they didn’t serve beer. The food was good and they kept the chips and salsa coming. Not far at all from Lake Murray.
