The shrimp we got was good. The rest was small portions and no sour cream or cheese. The tacos were just shells with nothing inside. What’s the point? The food was very dry and it didn’t even come with any chips or salsa. I got the enchiladas that were very dry and no moisture to them at all and the chicken was dry. I will not go back.

Authentic food. This is the real deal. Being from Texas where they have large grocery stores dedicated to the Hispanic culture and cooking, this store and restaurant is a true diamond in East Tennessee for anyone who cooks and enjoys this style of culinary eats. The portions were very plentiful for the price and you never be upset about handmand tortillas. Plus they provide you three different salsas, chopped onion, and cilantro. Everyone is friendly, Very nice store, and excellent customer service.

The Carniseria is on point. El pastor pro favor! You can find produce here that you can’t find anywhere else around. The market is authentic. The restaurant is top notch. Best food around Town. Last, the family that runs this are extremely nice and never rude. My favorite things are the Carniseria’s picante salsa, and the tomatillo’s in the produce section. the restaurant the Chilaquiles de Rez are phenomenal.

I love shopping here. Beautiful produce all year around. The guys at the meat counter are really great. Best avocados and plantains around.

The food was ok. The service was not great. Super sweet and helpful people, just not very attentive. It’s definitely more authentic Mexican so if that’s what you want then I’d recommend it. One thing I did not like at all were the chips. I loved the fruit drink they make but I can’t remember the name of it. The restaurant is part of the store, FYI. That didn’t bother us but it was a surprise.

We stopped into La Lupita for breakfast today. We ordered homemade guacamole and Huevos ala Mexicana. Tortillas are homemade and SO delicious! We also loved the home cooked beans that came with breakfast. I took off one star because we couldn’t find any water to purchase and because the Huevos ala Mexicana was 80 percent tomato and onion. Usually this dish is 80 percent egg and the remaining 20 percent onion, jalapeno, and tomato. Yeah, I’m a “gringa” but my Mexican boyfriend and I have been together for 11 years. I can whip up a mean Huevos Ala Mexicana myself. In all fairness the people working here were not Mexican so they might need more practice. 10 stars for the beans and tortillas. Customer service was good too

Sorry to say it was the worst experience at s Mexican restaurant I’ve ever had. We ordered tons of tacos and sides and it didn’t come with anything. No chips and salsa, like every single Mexican restaurant I’ve ever ordered at. No little hot sauces. No toppings whatsoever just meat. Only meat. Almost $3 for a tortilla with only meat. I really don’t complain much, but I’m from a place very close to Mexico and often went to Mexico. Never in my life had I had carnitas this dry that taste like dry chicken. Wish I had made my own dinner.
