Service was terrible. My 2 flour tortillas were raw on one side. Never got a refill. Never even got silverware ended up getting up and grabbing it ourselves. Waiter definitely needs more experience

We had our family meal here. I hadn’t been to Hacienda in a while because they’re only open for dinner. Our meal took forever to receive. One-third of our table received their meals a good 10 to 15 minutes before the rest of us got our food. They were practically done before we got our food. I decided on the burger, which wasn’t very good. The meat tasted funny. I used to like this place, but I’m not sure if I’ll be back again.

This is the best Mexican restaurant that I have eaten at in a long while…… the food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The chili was delicious and had great flavor. My enjoyed the red chili enchiladas and I had the ribeye carne asada with green chili, beans and rice .

After eating meals in my truck for over a week, I was glad to see that they were open for dine in. I ordered the 14 oz ribeye with salad, baked potato, and asparagus. The chips were fresh and the green salsa was good and spicy. Service was fast, my steak was cooked the way I ordered and had a good flavor to it as well. The asparagus was good also, but my potato seemed a bit over cooked, like it had sat in the warmer a little too long.

I don’t know where to start, but I’ll say I’m originally from south Texas where we know a thing or two about Mexican food. I can’t say this is authentic Mexican, but it’s fairly well done Tex-Mex. They start you out with chips and salsa as usual, the chips are the ones I’ve had at several Mexican restaurants before, and the salsa was good but just wasn’t anything special about it, hard to tell if it’s bought or made in house but I would guess bought from an outside source. I ordered the beef fajita plate and it came with just about the right portion of everything, only thing I felt shorted of was most restaurants will give you 3 tortillas, this case I received 2. It was fairly busy and I didn’t want to bother the waitstaff any more than necessary, so I let it slide since it wasn’t that big of a deal to me as I could just eat the extra food with a fork instead, it just would’ve been nice to have. The meat was very well seasoned and had a few small bits of fat left on for flavor and fairly tender, so I will say it’s some of the better fajita meat I’ve had in awhile. The pico de gallo is definitely made in house and I enjoyed the way they prepped it with a nice generous hint of lime squeezed into it. The guacamole and sour cream were fresh, flour tortillas were pretty fresh, and I actually ate the beans instead of usually passing on them. I wished it wasn’t so busy, it’s kind of a small place and can get a bit clastrophobic, at least to myself it felt. I waited about 20mins for a table during a bit of a rush so not too long of a wait but the food did take awhile to come out. I should note the power went out about 15-20mins into waiting for my food, then about another 20mins or so after that so in total about 30-45min wait for food, which I consider on the lower end of average so despite the power going out, the food still came out in a realistic timeframe so kudos for them for doing their best while rolling with the punches. The waitstaff, which I saw was literally one older woman and one younger woman also acting as a hostess as well who are buzzing throughout the place at an insane rate. I gotta hand it to them, for 2 people serving that many customers and being able to keep everything fairly under control, I applaud them greatly for that, I would just hate to be them lol. Anything you do ask them for, they try their best to get it out to you ASAP and somehow they remember everything and every detail. Overall, if I ever stop by the neighboring truck stop again, I would definitely stop in again and check out what else they may have on the menu, I saw the enchiladas and nachos at tables around me and they looked just as appetizing as the beef fajita plate I ordered myself. The pricing is certainly reasonable and fair for the quality and quantity that you get here, and I’m grateful they cater to truckers as equally as they do walk in customers instead of shunning us away or anything of that nature. Only things I would change to bump up that last star is provide an extra tortilla with the fajitas from the start, since it definitely is a cheap but thoughtful gesture to have just that one more, and maybe one or two extra people as waitstaff to help the other 2 girls not seem so overwhelmed. Otherwise it’s a great little place that is friendly and clean with tasteful fresh food to offer!

The wait time was a little long, with really no where to sit while we did…. But ohhhhh the food hunnie!!! Best home style Mexican food I have had in a long time. It was totally worth the wait and even got some ceviche to go!

The wait for our food was 1 hour.. waste of my son’s birthday. One waitress. And one cook.. my son was upset he had to spend his 21st birthday here.. this is right next to a truck stop I feel bad for the unsuspecting truckers having to waste an hour for their food if they are in a hurry to get back on the road. I could have made the same food at home in less time. On top of it all the red chili had Serrano or something added to it to make it extremely hot not even enjoyable to finish eating my meal. The heat from real New Mexico hatch red chile should be earthy with a hint of heat not horrible heat you would find in a ghost pepper ruined the meal. Good luck getting there when they are actually open as well. the only good thing about this place is that it was clean and is practically brand new but without any customers I can see how it can stay clean. Not in a hurry to ever come back or their sister restaurant nachos on the other side of town in Moriarty.

This place is AMAZING! I am a Trucker from San Antonio, TX, so I am travelling across the Country always looking for great independent Mexican Restaraunts and this establishment definitely gualified! Staff was very friendly, the Margaritas are tasty and I had the combo with a picadillo hard taco, chicken enchilada and the carne adovada. It was ALL excellent! The adovada was just spicy hot enough to give it the right kick. La Hacienda us definitely going on my, “I’ll be back whenever I’m in Town” list. Salud! 😉
