Our visit was amazing. We had a family gathering with 8 adults and 3 children. They were very accommodating. Gave us a huge table in the back with plenty of space and privacy for kids to move around and be kids. Staff was fantastic, made sure we had everything we needed and more! Definitely would go back and refer a friend to visit. Food was delicious and they offer a great variety.

“Oh how the mighty have fallen…” Awful food. Stale oil & stale corn tortillas overwhelmed everything with their nasty funk. Carne asada meat was leather-tough and tasteless – it also had a strange chemical whang and had never been near a real grill. Chile Relleno looked like it was fried in 2019 (batter coating was tough and obviously reheated). Pico de gallo was missing any hint of cilantro (or any flavor at all for that matter). Beef enchilada would have been more appealing with actual dog food instead of the “meat” filling they served (which looked and smelled like dog food). In all horrible food. No amount of efficient and friendly service (which we definitely rec’d) can make up for bad food. It being virtually empty on a Saturday night should have been a big clue. Also slippery, grease-coated floors were tricky to navigate & a sign of poor cleanliness. We used to love & recommend this place but with prices what they are, this place is now in the “definitely not worth the trip” category. One thing that hasn’t changed in 5 years: the same old drunk lady was sitting sadly alone in a corner nursing a giant margarita. PS: the “sopaipillas” on the menu are not at all representative of “true” puffy sopaipillas (at all).

It was just how I remembered it being. I left illinos to go back to the west coast for a while, and was disappointed with the Flora branches dishes; they were not to the quality that I remembered La Fuente serving. That being said, I tried the one here in Fairfield the other day, and it was just like I remembered. The server was amazing as well! I’ll be definatly be driving from flora to Fairfield from now on… it’s worth the drive in my books. 🙂

Love this place. Great food … great atmosphere!! And always friendly and quick service. We drive 30 mins just to eat here. When our town has like 5 Mexican restaurants. We enjoy the restaurant and cherish the wonderful small town service. Hard to find nowadays. Highly recommend this place
