Best Mexican Food and Service in all the Verde Valley! I love the Green Chili Burro Enchilada Style, Beans and Rice! The “Fried Ice Cream” was so yummy too!❤

My sister, daughter and I stopped to eat here. We arrived at 1:50pm, not knowing that they closed at 2. Everyone was super nice and welcoming, not rushing us even though they were closing in 10 minutes! My family and I used to go to the La Fonda in Flagstaff all the time before my mom passed away and we all moved away, so this was a nice reminder of old times! Thanks for your wonderful hospitality and great food! We’ll definitely stop by again when we’re out that way!!!

My husband loved it but the food was a bit too spicy for me. I had shredded beef enchiladas and although the sauce was mild enough there were jalapenos in with the meat. Also, note that they close at 7 pm on a Friday night so plan an early dinner if you go here.

This is the worst Mexican restaurant we’ve ever been to. We should have turned around and left when we first got there and felt that it was a bit sketchy. We were just hungry and trusted the four star overall review. We should have looked further into the reviews. It was unwelcoming and we felt like they didn’t really want customers there. The rice was undercooked and crunchy. And, the food had an off taste that I can’t quite pinpoint other than maybe a chemical taste that lasted a few hours and I eventually got really sick as in food poisoning. I had something different than my husband and it was the only thing different that we ate from each other all day. I was so sick! Horrible! Will never go back!!!

First time here and ordered the fried shredded beef burrito. I ordered it’s ala carte not completely understanding what that meant. It looked a little sad but then they gave me some red chili to put on top of it. The fried burrito and the red chili were pretty awesome actually!

We came to the La Fonda restaurant after floating down the Verde River this weekend. Very nice place and the food was excellent. Their staff was attentive and recommended good food. Thank you for taking good care of us.

I didn’t like the food it was not authentic Mexican food, I’ll tell you why I say this.. I ordered a Chile Relleno. A main staple in Mexican food, well it came to me in a folded over scrambled egg! I was so disappointed, there was alot of family members running around yelling across the room to eachother. The only thing I will say that was good was thier salsa. I’m sorry but won’t be going back. If you love real authentic Mexican food stay away from this place.
