Fun Mexican restaurant off the main drag in Chico. We arrived after the lunch crowd today and were warmly greeted by the hostess. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. The food was outstanding! And the portions…wow! Lots of food. This seems like a really nice place for larger parties and family dinners as it was quite spacious. We will be back!

Opening at the Fair Street location of the now-closed Casa Ramos location, this is now LA Fiesta, Mexican bar and restaurant. My wife, son, and I decided to try it out. After looking at the menu, which WAS different, yet somehow still the same, we all came to our choices. My wife had the Fajitas Carnitas, my Son had the Steak Burrito, and I had the “Mixto” Fajitas (steak, chicken, and shrimp). The chips, salsa, and refried beans were brought to our table to appease our appetite until our food arrived… which was a whopping 27 minutes later. Now, I’ll give a benefit of the doubt to an establishment that is fairly new, but they’ve had time to work out the kinks by now. While the portions were quite large and appetizing, the taste was…Minimalistic at BEST. Not much flavor to ANY of the meats, or the Guacamole, and the salsa tasted mass-produced. The veggies were at that in-between place between perfect and overcooked, but were the best part of the Fajitas, and the rice was just red… NO extra length was put into making it extraordinary. The Burrito was fat and long, but rolled haphazardly. Nobody could finish their meal, and we took it with us. The staff was attentive, but they were heavily pushing their deserts, like that could salvage the dinner we ate. Priced MORE than Casa Ramos, but not worth it. Better restaurants in town for this price, so I suggest you do your research. Will we be back? Doubtful… but then if the restaurant survives 6 months, who knows. This is Chico, after all.

Heard of the opening and had to come check it out! The molcajete de Mariscos was excellent! The torre de mariscos was huge! Good for 2-3 people! Ask for the spicy habanero salsa! Wait staff was very friendly. Coconut shrimp appetizer, tasty!! Wishing them much success. Definitely going back!

Food came out really fast. This usually signals poor quality, but I was impressed with how good the food was. Portions are generous, staff is polite and very responsive. I had the lunch burrito and I had to take half of it home.

waitress was nice. food was horrible flavorless. looked presentable but lacking in taste. large amounts of poor quality tasteless food.. how is it you get better food from a taco truck compared to a restaurant? very unfortunate. not worth the $$$ get a better tasting taco for 1.50 from any other taco truck.

Horrible service and food. We waited about 40 minutes for our food and when it finally came the plates were hot but the food was cold. They obviously made the food ahead of time and microwaved it and served it. Much better Mexican placed in chico.

Replace is nice and clean. I mean they really cleaned this place up. It’s a wheelchair accessible beautiful restaurant good service reasonably priced. I love your huevos rancheros for breakfast, but I have several things here and they’re consistent in their flavors and presentations.

The restaurant was pretty good. In a town with 50 other Mexican restaurants, it doesn’t have anything that makes me want to choose it specifically. They did serve beans with their chips and salsa. They were good
