My family and I visited this place on a Sunday afternoon. Other than us there was about 5 other people inside. The service was fast our waiter was homely, patient, and kind. We ordered the rib eye, chicken and sausage gumbo and shrimp and grits. Everything lacked flavor, seasoning and a true sense of Louisiana vibes. It was just bland. It didn’t lack oil though. Grits were greasy and the gumbo…I do not know how but it was. The fried crab claws were pretty decent…just hard meat. I don’t know how this place have 4 plus stars. It’s possible that I caught them on an off day. However I won’t spend another $100 plus to catch them on their good day.

I blame myself. We go to a beer/tea/coffee spot near and we always see this place in the other side and never went. We went. It was Amazing

I’ve been waiting to try this place specifically for the gumbo. Anytime I was near town it would be during the days they are closed. Finally the stars aligned and I called in a order it was around 1 or so. Easy street parking and I walked over the bar was empty. I was greeted and paid for my order and it was brought right away. I’m in Louisiana alot so I know a good bowl of gumbo and this was not it very oily and not very seasoned. Maybe this is better plated if I was to order in but for the price and the amount I wasn’t happy. Fries are very good I will come sit down next time and try some other items.

Me and my husband came here for a date night and absolutely fell IN LOVE. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is just as great. We had the shrimp etouffee and fried catfish. So so good. We also had the beignets, not pictured. But mmh, we will be back for sure.

Worst shrimp and gritz I have ever had. No flavor at all. It was like waffle house gritz with shrimp. I was disappointed I was hyping this place up to my wife because I had a really amazing shrimp po boy their a few months back. My wife had the gumbo and that was flavorful. I do not know what happened in their making of gritz, tasted no salt, butter, cream, cheese nothing. It was geling together and had that instant flavor. Service was subpar they were only serving my wife and 1 other couple. Took for ever which is fine I wasn’t in a hurry, they brought the appetizer out with no plates,

5 stars across the board! My friend & I dined at La Fayette’s bon temps for lunch today & oooooooooweee it was good!! The restaurant is located in the city center of Fayetteville with free parking (always a plus). The ambience & decor was nice, it had a great vibe. Our server Shelly was fantastic! We both ordered the Nola Hurricane to drink – yummy & fruity with a sneaky kick to it. For lunch, we both ordered the Big D’s Baskets & both enjoyed them. I had the combo – catfish & fried oysters with a side of onion rings & spinach. Man-o-man, it was delicious! Everything was hot & fresh & cooked to order. The oysters were fried to perfection, not hard & not too soft. The catfish was flaky & hot, just like I like it. The spinach was surprisingly very good! Some places will give you unseasoned or watery (pre-frozen) spinach, but not La Fayette’s bon temp! No ma’am! Great food & great prices, I will be back. Laissez le bon temps rouler!

I was in the area and decided to give LaFayette’s a try. Once I arrived, I realized that I’d been there a few years back.
