We recently went to La Dolce Vita for dinner and then found out about their cooking classes and took one in February. Loved the whole experience! Michelle (the owner) is wonderful and really cares about this place, she also teaches the cooking classes. The food is great, the staff really friendly, and the historic house is just gorgeous! I highly recommend this place. Extra shout out to Jared (in the 1901 bar downstairs) for telling us about the history of the place and for making me an absolutely delicious non-alcoholic drink (I’m pregnant) 🙂 Their wine list is quite fab too (they have Gainey Merlot!).

Great food in an amazing location! My wife had the lasagna and I had blackened salmon. Both were delicious! The outdoor patio is a beautiful area overlooking the square. Marie E provided excellent service even though it was a busy evening with a concert in the square. Even though we couldn’t see the stage from the patio, it was a perfect place to listen to the concert.

Inside one the restored Victorian homes in Heritage Square Downtown Oxnard. Italian dishes perfectly crafted, the dishes stand out for their home made sauces. The portions are good size not huge. They need have the daily specials printed or updated online. The menu prices need to be updated. Craft cocktails in the downstairs bar “1901”.

This place has great food and drinks. So their downstairs area is called 1901 speakeasy and it’s my favorite place to have cocktails in Oxnard. Will is the best bartender!! He makes some of the best old fashions. I love their drinks and the Southside is good and many others. Hope this helps

First timer! We found the menu to be on the pricier side for the offerings. Food was good, but nothing stood out. Service was slow, but friendly. I’m not sure I’d return at this price point, but I don’t regret trying this place out.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner a few days before Christmas. It was a lovely setting, great service and delicious dinner. A perfect evening. The lasagna was amazing. The pasta noodle was delicate which I liked very much and plenty of meaty sauce. Highly recommend the food and ambiance. Sam our waiter was professional, friendly and excellent.
