DO NOT EAT LUNCH AT THIS RESTAURANT!!! Unless you have major self control! Unfortunately, I do not and my lunch ended with me taking a nap! I basically feel into a Cuban food coma…apparently it IS a real thing. Everything looked and smelled amazing and the customer service was top notch also. The lady asked me if I wanted to try anything before I made a decision and she was very informative. If I had to say anything negative… they made the empanada too hot! They are made fresh to order and I HAD to take a bite before I left the parking lot! Sure, I did burn my mouth… but I don’t care and will do it again! 100% worth it! $24 total and that included tip. I couldn’t wait to leave a review! I can not wait to introduce my family to this establishment. Pictured: yellow rice with half black and half garbanzo beans, plantains, stew chicken (Monday special)with vegetables and in the containers are marinated pork and the rest of my empanada.

There was a lot of food. I’ll give them that but the meat was a side. I tasted the food and though hmmm that’s bland. I left the food in the car and came back after 30min and the car didn’t have an overwhelming smell of food .

Ordered catering here for my mom’s funeral. We ordered roast pork, rice, beans and plantains. It was very delicious. I ordered 12 lbs of pork to feed 20+ people, not knowing how many people we would have. It easily served more than 25. The pork was beyond tender, came in 2 big pieces and pulled apart so easily. Everything was hot and waiting for pickup. The restaurant thru in a big bag of buttered cuban bread too. Highly recommend La Cubanita.

This has got to be the best sandwich shop in the area! Loved the variety of items they have from food to deserts! Cute little cafe with seating room if you want to dine in. The staff were very friendly and the service was quick! Sandwiches are made to order which was even better! I had a Turkey sandwich and my husband got the original Cuban! We will definitely be back!

Small restaurant tucked in the plaza, but the food is beyond deliciously amazing. One of my favorite hidden gems in the Tampa area. Freshly cooked every morning, generous servings, great service by the staff. I love stopping in for a café con leche, breakfast sandwich, ropa vieja, empanadas or even grab some good to-go. It’s a humble and simple place but the flavors will be worth it!

I order a steak sandwich. It had some flavor however, I felt they were overpriced for what I got. There were a few menu items they didn’t have, so all I was able to purchase was a sandwich and a Coke. At least they had eco-friendly straws. The service was nice and the place was clean.
