Established in March of 2007, La Costa Azul is a family owned Mexican restaurant. Owners Alvaro and Rosa Rodriguez inspiration for La Costa Azul comes from their humble beginnings as a fisherman in El Lago De Chapala, Jalisco and Rosa’s love for cooking in the kitchen for her four sons and beautiful daughter.
The menu is inspired by our touch of true Jalisco Mexican Style Sea Food and is always served with Fresh Handmade Tortillas.

Let me start by saying that the staff was very welcoming and friendly!! Now the FOOD…. OMG it so amazingly good!! This restaurant is a MUST go too!! We and the family really enjoyed the food!! This is a family owned restaurant, we will be going many more times!! This our new go to spot for Mexican food!! Great great job La Costa Azul!

The dish I had was very very tasty! It was called Cielo Mar y Tierra. It consisted of chicken, beef and shrimp. It came with rice and refried beans. To wash it down I just had to get a michelada. Their michelada’s are award winning by the way. The service was top notch. We were greeted with a big smile and cheerful attitude. Our server’s checked on us frequently but not too much. This is a place I would be happy to go back to, to enjoy a meal.

Customer service was excellent this place was recommended We will return! Home made tortillas and everything was fresh!!!! I love the Piña agua and my sisters plate Berrian tacos were excellent! The caldo 7 mares came really late and was hot and tasted like week old soup. My Michelada tasted watered down. The pineapple water tasted like pepino water. I’m sure a saw a few drug deals go down in the parking lot next to the place. That was the most entertaining experience of my visit.

We arrived right when they open and were promptly sat and given menus along with chips and salsa. The tables and restroom were clean. The salsa is loose but flavorful. The birria tacos were really good! Make sure to add the little cup of hot sauce they give you to the broth if you like a little kick, and I added pico de gallo for the fresh bite of tomato. Will definitely eat here again!

I love their mexican food but mostly having freshly made corn tortillas with my favorite mexican dishes! My favorites are menudo, caldo 7 mares, the flavor is to die for! At least for me and their barbacoa & shrimp and octoous coctel! And if you love micheladas, well search no more, the best I’ve had!
