This place was excellent. Wife and I went on July 4th for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed everything. The chips and salsa were delicious, the birria was very good and quite filling. Service was great as well and the atmosphere was enjoyable. Will be back!

We came to this restaurant because we saw the sign outside and found it intriguing, “La Cocina de mi Madre”(My mother’s kitchen). We ordered Birria and Mole, two of the most traditional Mexican dishes. Those two were served on special occasions in Mexico in the old days.

The lady that took out food order had an attitude problem. She then slammed an empty cup on our table because we ordered a completely different drink. When we went to pay she said loudly that a tip was not included…. No tip for rude service…. We will never go there again.

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food in Abilene, look no further! It is not Tex-Mex. It is authentic Mexican recipes with fresh made tortillas and the best salsa. The only problem you will have is deciding what to eat because everything on the menu is delicious. I’ve loved the gorditas & quesadillas.

Brought my in laws here when they came down and it was our first time here! It was reallllyyyyy good. Everyone loved the food and atmosphere. Personally the ground beef needed a little moisture, but seriously overall fantastic! Oh and the rice is *chefs kiss* amazing!
