I was on the search for a restaurant for my wife and I to have my birthday dinner at. A couple places that we hadn’t yet been to were closed Mondays but La Ceiba was open and I had heard good things about it. Boy the reviews don’t do this place justice! It’s a very rare occasion that I feel like I’m family at a restaurant, but that’s exactly how they make you feel. I had a “It’s Halloween and my birthday” shirt on and Abel immediately offered me a beer on the house. After we sat down they brought out an appetizer plate, also on the house which had a couple empanadas on it (so good!) as well as plantains, chips and an awesome Verde salsa. Our order was a Chile relleno burrito, nachos and 2 chicharrones pupusas. Everything was excellent and we took plenty home with us. They gained not only 2 new customers but also 2 friends. We can’t wait to return and give their weekend karaoke a shot!

Delicious food, drinks, and large portions. Highly recommended ordering the platter with pastelitos, chips, plantains, and dips. Everything came out of the kitchen hot. Very attentive and kind staff. Will be returning!

$50 for a boatload of cheese and a little meat for three meals with one drink. Felt super uncomfortable walking in as a biracial couple. Almost seemed like they made the food bad on purpose so that we wouldn’t come back. We were also picking up food for someone else who recommended the spot to us and they said it was amazing in the past but agreed that this time it was bad. Don’t come here unless you want to feel unwelcomed by female staff and customers.

While the food here was absolutely delicious, it was how our payment was completed that I am giving this restaurant to stars. The food is absolutely worth the trip to come to this restaurant, because they serve authentic Honduran and sand Salvadorian dishes. They were absolutely delicious!
