The place was nice. Food was good with flavor. Salsas are really good with such flavor but nothing spicy for someone who loves eating really spicy foods. I ordered the Tochomorocho but I didn’t know that some plates on display doesn’t come with meat you have to add it on, which is another charge. The drinks were good.

This is my place to go for special occasions. Mexican food at its finest. I come here for birthdays and Father’s Day. This place has been here for many years. Excellent place. My fav. Mexican restaurant to eat at. Highly recommend this place. Freshly made tortillas. Don’t forget to tip the tortilla crew. They make fresh tortillas and are fantastic. This place made it thru the pandemic and that’s impressive. The staff are very nice and professional. The huevos rancheros is my favorite plate. The caldo is also very good here. Totally recommend this eatery for the whole family. I believe this is a family owed business. You don’t need reservations here. Very clean place. Mexico atmosphere. No seating area outside. It would be a lot better if it had outside seating but there no room outside. It’s a small area outside. It’s in a great location in National City. A bit crowded on weekends between 11-12pm. I recommend before or after. The TV’s are always playing good Mexican concerts and videos. Not to load to disturb your meal with family and friends. It’s in typical strip mall. Almost every plate comes with moist rice and cheesy mashed pintos and, of course, tortillas. Very affordable for the whole family or just you and a friend. Right from Mom’s kitchen. We know that you will savor and enjoy every recipes, brought to you from the staff and contemporary current Mexican cooking technics . Come on in, enjoy lunch or dinner in their festive large dining room. Either way you’re in for the ultimate taste of Mexico style! You won’t be disappointed.

This place is an oldie but goodie! The flour tortillas are amazing! Authentic made fresh to order right inside the restaurant. The place is old and tables and chairs are due for an update. The servers are friendly but overwhelmed, This place is usually crowded. The food is good and flavorful! We ordered the machaca and menudo. Overall good experience

The food is very authentic and delicious!! It tasted like it’s supposed to, real cooking like my abuela. . The servers are nice, friendly, and efficient. My only complaint is the hostess, Jacqueline, that seated us did not have customer service skills and was rude.

This hidden gem has delicious Mexican food. They make both flour and corn tortillas by hand, you can see it as you walk in. Their waitresses are very friendly and attentive. Food comes out fast and plenty of it. We travel across San Diego to eat there. Highly recommended.

Nice neighborhood sit down Mexican eatery… I had the combination platter… Excellent and filling, almost too much too much food… My daughter had the chicken mole, and she loved it! I look forward to eating here again!

Food is good, but it’s getting kind of pricey now compared to 1 year ago. My complaints are coffee $4.50 each for regular coffee and decaf yikes! Bistec Ranchero $20.00 is up there. I think maybe $15.80 for the plate cost would be better. other places I’ve been cost around that price. It’s a good atmosphere, though try it they have fresh made tortillas there

Food was ok although the salsa was watery but the waitress was rude, the music was so loud I had raise my voice to talk to my partner and I couldn’t have a conversation because it was so loud. I asked to have the music turn down a little and the waitress told me if I needed to move to the end of the restaurant I could move. I asked her to speak louder cause I couldn’t hear her. Here is a pic of the waitress
