Delicious Salvadorian Dishes!! Great fruit and Horchata drinks , Breakfast just like I remembered from the old country. But if your in a hurry this food is hand made per order this is not a fast-food restaurant and it get busy here, so have patience and be prepared to wait.

The Papusas y Curtido get 5 full stars. So delicious. Waitress recommended the Revuelta Papusa and the Vegetariana. Get both of them together. It’s the perfect combo. Fried Plaintains are sweet. Deep fried beef pies are good, so is the pork tamale. Deep fried yuca and pork was good but a little dry, needed the salsa. Corn tamale was moist, sweet and tender. Busy place with very friendly service. Only one waitress so service takes awhile. Worth the wait.

Food is really good , service is good fast and friendly.. the only thing o see is that I always wait about 30 minutes to have my food ready and deliver to the table and if is busy it might take longer.

Good and very affordable Salvadorian food. Service is good and portions are big enough to get anyone full.

Pupusas taste great but the staff needs to smile a little. Customer service is not that great and the waiting time is long…. So be ready to wait for a pupusa at least 45 minutes. They should compensate clients for the patience on waiting for service and food. Hold on your tip before getting serve :/

This place is always a treat. Having opened its doors to us in 2007, La Carreta has amazing Salvadoran dishes and a kitchen that makes ’em with love. Located off the 101 fwy at Rancho Rd and T.O. Blvd in Thousand Oaks, you’ll find this gem and it will be well worth it. Pupusas, chicken soup, refried black beans, sour cream, and fried plantains. Plus good prices. A Mom and Pop establishment that stands strong in our own back yard. You’ve got to try this place. Hey William, as always great service.

I honestly love to eat pupusas from here. But the service is not good. They told me that I could not eat inside because I placed the order through the phone. The place was empty I just wanted to sit and eat. The lady told me that she was not allowed to let the costumer eat inside and she requested me to leave and eat them somewhere else. I can’t believe it.

The food is good but they really need to hire more staff just know that if you want to have breakfast in a Sunday morning it will take an hour or more because there’s only two people serving the food if anything hire more staff and experience will be better.

Do not use their website to order, it doesn’t work. They know this but I don’t know if it will be fixed.
