There are so few restaurants in Oregon that serve very good quality fine food. This is one of them. Discovered it by accident on my way home to Portland while visiting Salem briefly for business. I am a very picky person and hard to please – this is a restaurant I definitely recommend and will go back again next time I am in Salem.

Party of four, all had different things. Everything was a bit overpriced for what it was–flavorless seafood stew, but containing quality ingredients; very good hamburger and fries for a price that demanded that; baked chicken and sides that were fine, and a crepe with lots of fillings that tasted good but not up to the price level. The restaurant isn’t so full of ambiance and luxury to make itself a fine restaurant without the food being excellent. I started to get sick to my stomach a couple of hours after eating and had stomach problems all the next day, but I can’t be sure it was because of this meal nor was I violently ill. Still–not impressed enough to return. Good luck to them!

The bartender is easily the best in town. He is continually coming up with excellent inventive cocktails.
