Really good authentic Mexican restaurant with nice vegan options. I was impressed with the vegan options and how willing the staff were to make menu items vegan! The restaurant was very cute and pleasant to be in and the staff were very friendly. I enjoyed the vegan options a lot and would definitely come back!

This place is great! I was amazed by all the vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menu here. They even had some permanent menu and rotating options. I had to try three different tacos – Brussels sprout, sweet potato, and al pastor style hibiscus flower and they were all delicious. There was a short wait on a weekend and we sat outside. Beers were $4. Excited to return here.

I just found my new favorite Mexican restaurant in Santa Cruz! Stopped here randomly on our drive down when we saw it from the side of the road. Food was simply fantastic. I ordered a chicken taco and a carne asada taco – the steak was juicy and tender. The chicken had soooo much flavor! It was almost like a Chile verde chicken. The pinto prawns came with cheese on top, beans were cooked properly. The Spanish rice was delicious- now the color isn’t as orange/red like you see most places but the flavor was amazing, the texture was super soft and buttery. My boyfriend ordered the carnitas tacos— some of the BEST carnitas I’ve ever had- melted like butter in my mouth. The inside had a warm and cozy environment, food came out super fast. They also offered a ton of vegetarian options. Will definitely be back!!

I have eaten here probably 50 times. The food is good. But they mess up my order probably 9 times out of 10. Really, really frustrating, especially for a burrito, which you can’t see if it’s the right thing until you get home and cut it in half. Today my kid was in tears because they put cheese in his burrito. It is a major problem if you have food allergies or just want to get what you ordered. Today was my last time ordering from La Cabaña.

Ordered 4 cabeza tacos. 5 bucks per taco. Not worth it at all. The cabeza just tasted like dry shredded beef. Regular size tacos. Down the street towards seabright you can get $3 dallor tacos that taste Way better. Burritos are ok .

Local taqueria with burritos, quesadillas, and more unique fare. Order at the counter. Line gets long and food slow, especially on the weekend, so they use a numbered ordering system. Everything currently packaged to go. Limited outdoor seating, indoor tables, and free parking. The taco salad included taco shells placed on top of large chunks of iceberg and the burrito was soggy with butter, which was disappointing. Edible, but not exceptional. Could be an off day, but other competitors more enticing.

The rice is too soft for me and didnt have flavor. I got the regular bowl burrito and the steak didnt taste as much and the rice was so small portion than other place I’ve been… this is my first time in here and Im just maybe not used to the way they cook or I just maybe got a bad luck from the lerson who lrepared mtly meal… Otherwise I like the bean part…. I like that their restroom’s toilet, sink and restroom floor seems to be pretty clean and neat. The toilet is hard to flush tho, the top flush is so tiny that my little fingers cant almost fit in it. Even though i used hand towel to flush, it ripped as I pushed down Wash your hands thoroughly after flushing so you dont catch anything…….

Been going here for years and this was the first time I was totally disappointed. The pinto beans were hard in the middle, completely undercooked, and the meat was dripping with grease. I hope it was a one time incident but I’m not excited to go back anytime soon.
