There’s a hidden gem right in Post Falls and La Cabana is it! Good Mexican food in North Idaho is hard to come by so stumbling upon this restaurant was a great surprise.

Felix (the Owner) opened this location a few months ago. It has been struggling a bit but that’s only because Felix isn’t comfortable with social media and marketing. He is very old school. Sometimes that isn’t bad but when you open a new restaurant, it would be good to consider a glance at social media avenues or every day direct mailers.

I will go back and try this again, but i wouldn’t try carry out. Ordered chicken fajitas and chips and salsa. There was one table only and I ended up getting flautas and rice and beans. The food was good. I ate it and decided that’s what I was supposed to have through Devine intervention. But really it wasn’t a hard order. Super nice waitress, and like I said, it was ok. Lots of positive reviews so I will chalk it up to fate and bad timing.

The family who runs the restaurant is very sweet and serves delicious food! We’re so glad we found them and will definitely return. Even our kids love it there! It’s our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. The decor is wonderful and it’s a nice environment to be in.
