First time trying fried ribs. Pretty good. Yams were amazing with just the right sweetness & without being heavy. (That’s skill.) Mac & cheese is legit! Not sure if the gravy on the smothered chicken is homemade, but it’s clear the chicken itself was fresh & well seasoned. (Clean too as there were no feathers. Thank God.) Took off 1/2 star for the cabbage (a little salty because it may have been on the bottom). Clever packaging was fantastic for delivery, meaning no tampering. We will be back!)

TikTok brought me here! I placed an order over the phone, the employee had great customer service, and was very patient with me because I was torn between 2 choices. I ended up getting the fried ribs, macaroni, dressing, greens, & banana pudding. The ribs was good, they taste like a pork chop 10/10. Macaroni, it was ok, probably the best I had from a restaurant. Dressing, was to salty to my liking, I couldn’t eat it. Greens, they was eatable. Banana pudding, it satisfied my sweet tooth. Would I eat from there again? The answer is yea, I would just try other food options. I forgot to mention my food was hot and ready upon arrival, I really appreciated that.

Came in today and ordered just mac n cheese as a side and banana pudding. I don’t eat meat but consider myself a bit of a soul food connoisseur. I’ve had a lot of soul food and been all over Chicago, the suburbs and Northwest Indiana. I’d driven past this location on multiple occasions and didn’t realize there was a soul food joint here, so today I decided to pop in and try it. I was not disappointed. The mac n cheese was top tier. Amazing. Wish I had ordered 2 of them. Please do not ever change the recipe — it ranks up there with the best I’ve ever had. Banana pudding was also very good. Cannot wait to come back and try more of their dishes and if you are in the area, TRY THEM OUT. You will not be disappointed. Service was fast, facility was clean. Super glad to have a new soul food place to hit whenever I’m in the area. 🙂

I called myself ordering a side of the bbq wings to save for later but this is literally the aftermath, 8mins (I inhaled them wings ) after receiving my food didn’t even make it home or get a chance to take a picture before hand. Once I took the first bite ♀️it was a done deal ♀️ absolutely delicious and superb customer service will definitely be going back

I ordered two dinners; fried chicken wings and fried salmon, both were delicious! Portions were nice, my family of four ate off two dinners. Service was fast and friendly! If you order the punch, add water it’s very sweet.

Try this place for the first time. I saw it on the news while back and decided to try it today. Got the chicken wings mac and cheese and greens. The food is great. Normally I would put hot sauce on the greens. No need the flavor was there. Chicken wing season pretty well. And the cornbread nice and moist. Just remembered it is not a fast food place so it will take time to get your food. Definitely will order from them again

I placed two orders of the fried chicken wings with greens, macaroni and cheese, and yams. I also ordered the fried catfish filet dinner. I have to say the food is ABSOLUTELY amazing. I really fell in love with the fried catfish. It was well-seasoned and the flavor was so extraordinary. The owner is very friendly and wanted to give the best presentation of her food. I WILL BE BACK.
