Had the best tasting Chicken Bone Shoyu and Tonkotsu ramen today. The pork and chicken broths were exceptionally tasty and seasoned…reminded me of the ramen in the Hawaiian Islands, however, their bowls are filIed to the top. I was surprised of their Saturday happy hour, noon-3 pm. The tempura fried ice cream was a truly generous treat…3 large scoops. We most definitely will return … our experience at Kuriya @ Cherrity Bar was a 10.

Wonderful! Love the Yakitori (lightly glazed chicken skewers, sprinkled with sesame seeds).

My parents were visiting from out of town, so of course my husband and I had to take them to our favorite ramen spot! Our server Gwen was sweet and attentive as always, making us feel like welcomed guests every visit, and she even had mine and my husband’s usual orders commit to memory! We kept it simple this trip, everyone opting for the Tonkotsu ramen with a side of kosho, kimchi dumplings, and since it was my parents’ first visit, a complimentary order of charred edamame. Everything came out fresh and flavorful as always. The tonkotsu broth was rich and perfectly seasoned, with generous noodles and toppings. As I told our server earlier, we were stationed in Japan for several years and the ramen here is reminiscent of what we had while living over there. By far, it’s been our favorite ramen since moving back to the US!

The food is STUNNING and full of flavor. The drink options, the Ramen, even the edamame were next-level, and for God’s sake the MACKEREL is to absolutely die for. Our server Gwen was ultra-knowledgeable about every item on the menu, on top of being engaging and friendly. We felt right at home immediately. Thanks for the great food and service!

I’ve been dying to try this place out for years, but haven’t had another reason to be on this side of town. Now I do… this place. The staff is delicately chosen or excellently trained, or both, because the service was excellent. I could over here the other servers, and they were also patient, explained the menu well, and genuinely friendly. And of course, the reason for coming…the food. It was flavorful, fresh, and so colorful! The alcoholic drinks were also excellent! The out door area hosts a number of activities like ping pong, cornhole, and a kids playground. Fun for the whole family. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Great experience while in town for a class! Eric was a knowledgeable server and ensured I had a delightful meal. I came in this past Monday and returned two days later because it was so good!

Going in, it smelled like they moped with dirty water. It looked clean, though, just the smell. We got the tantanmen and tonkotsu ramen. The broths tasted good but the tonkotsu was definitely lacking. They changed the pork belly to paper thin shreds and you only get like 4 mushrooms. Not worth $16. Also we asked if they could make it spicy and the server said he would bring a side of Chilli paste. Which we then got charged for. For the price I expected better quality.

The saba was really good if you’re a mackerel fan. The ramen is great. The best dish was the oyster mushrooms appetizer, surprisingly.

10 out of 10 ramen experience. This place knows ramen! I’m sad I forgot to take a picture because the food was too good and I could help but inhale it. However John service was exceptional and Ernie was a great conversationalist! I told them next time I’m in San Antonio I will be back!!
