Perfect date night! We happened upon Kuno accidentally (as we were trying to get into a different spot for dinner). We could not have been more pleased. We sat at the bar – which had a cool vibe – well appointed and great chill tunes . The place was empty on a Monday (accept for the many to go orders), and we could not have been more comfortable. The food was delicious, with a beautiful presentation. Stop in at Kuno – you will be happy! Cheers Vern

Locals must be hiding this little gem from everyone! Absolutely delicious, great portions and good service. Highly reccommend, we almost kept walking by it but glad we didn’t. Tried the pad thai and chicken sandwich, both are amazing.

Intimate bar and restaurant setting away from all the noise and activity of downtown Portland but very walkable to. I went around 8pm or so and it was nice— low lighting, calm, and quiet. Food was good— I got the pad thai— and the host was nice. Peaceful place and they sourced their baked elements from local bakeries like Norimoto— a fantastic, novel, and high quality bakery.

Just tried their chicken sandwich yesterday. The chicken was very crunchy. The Asian slaw was a nice touch, along with the chili mayo. Definitely one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve had. Now I want another one. Lol. The fries are cooked well. None of them were soggy. The beef skewers were tender and well cooked, and the sauce was nice. You can park in the Congress Plaza and it’s about a 3 minute walk. Might come back for their Pad Thai or sandwich again.

We stopped by here late on a Sunday evening as we needed to grab a quick bite. Yes, we had 9 people and I mentioned to the server/owner only half of us were eating. From the start we felt like a burden. It was mentioned to us that they have a small space so everyone should eat as we were taking up space for other customers who may come in before closing. NO ONE EVER CAME IN!

Visited Maine in the firstday, and ordered from doordash, Kuno’s “Nasi Goreng” (Fried Rice).

Every dish I tried at this place was excellent, and more importantly, delightfully unique. I’ve eaten at scores of Thai restaurants, and I saw familiar dishes on this menu, but each plate was different from anything I’ve had before. The green curry in particular was incredible – spicy and sweet, yet not in the typical overbearing way. I don’t know if this place is authentic, but it certainly is some of the best Thai food I’ve had.

Hidden gem in Portland. We had the curry vegetable dish which was delicious with just the right amount of heat. We also shared the pork and vegetable dumplings which were also fantastic. I recommend Kuno for both take out and dine in. Great atmosphere inside the restaurant, which is deceiving from the outside.

I love coming here. The food is delicious and drinks are very nice. Ive possibly tried about 90% of the menu already. The fried calamari is my favorite. The Char Kuey Teow was already very delicious. Thai tea shake is very unique and you dont usually find it at other places. Very nice vibe and nice people overall. Definitely recommended.
