Given the ~$25pp price point, the selection (e.g. sushi, sashimi, hibachi, standard buffet options, etc.), a clean restaurant, attentive service (though it was an empty restaurant when we went for lunch), and the quality being higher than what you would expect if I said “sushi buffet”, this earns its above average rating. Not a must stop for any one item as it doesn’t excel at any one thing, but it delivers decently on many fronts. It won’t convert you if you aren’t into trying many items or a buffet person generally, but if you fit that category I’d be surprised if you were disappointed. If you are solely coming for the sushi/sashimi, there are AYCE places that specialize in that area that will be better suited for you (e.g. Sushi House, Sushi Palace, Sushi X2, etc.). The waiter robot is a cool concept and appeared to work well, though it didn’t wait on us while we were there.

Good buffet dishes selection and surprisingly good taste compared to other buffets. Fried calamari, shrimp, spring roll, fried clams, fried rice and chow mien. Good Sushi variety and sashimi. Lame dessert cakes. Ice cream and chocolate fountain. 3 if us paid $80 total. Good place for kids. Attentive staff always removing plates and buffet is always refilled.

Awesome restaurant with proper ambient lighting. The food is amazing and sushi selection is stellar. They have a habachi grill which smelled amazing, I just wish I had enough stomach space to try it lol. All food is fresh and nothing is dried out. The cold drink section is also a nice touch. Worth the visit and multiple times after that.

Has been a longtime favorite but has gotten to be VERY expensive! Afterall, this is “stuff your face” buffet, not fine cuisine.

This place was really hit hard by the pandemic. Gone are the days where customers walk up to a buffet and pick their own food. Kumo has done a great job pivoting in this environment. You make you kitchen and sushi bar selections on a piece of paper, and the food is brought to you. You can order as much as you like, but eat it all as to avoid a surcharge (very fair).

Service was great. Everyone was very friendly and attended to our needs. Food was delicious. This place has a hibachi grill and dessert bar. My daughter loved the chocolate fountain.

When I am in Stamford, I love to hit this place up. They recently expanded their hibachi selection and added snow crab clusters (limited to 2). Good sushi & saki. The hot & cold food is good too.

I took my grand daughter for Lunch (she loves it) and we wanted more for but there was a little boy (member of the owners family?) who was running all over and coughing on all the food, not one person in his family to staff said a word to this kid, I know he’s only about eight years old but this was so gross to watch him cough on the Buffet and all the sushi.
