The tonkatsu ramen is the best ramen in town. I brought my friend who hates ramen and they were asking when we could go again next. Packed full of flavor, but also not overly complicated or engineered, which I feel a lot of fancy ramen in town tends to do.

We love the Barley Pod but hadn’t been in a while – Kumiho was absolutely perfect for a warm sunny day. My friend had the tonkatsu ramen (his immediate favorite in all of PDX) and I got the shoyu ramen with a side of Mom’s Korean hot sauce (medium spice). This was an absolute delight. The broth is balanced and flavorful, the menma was nice and crispy with just enough funk, the egg was beautifully runny, perfect pork belly, nice chewy noodles, and a lovely gyoza that made me want to order a side of them next time. Great folks in the cart to boot.

I used online ordering because I didn’t want to go out in the weather. Staff was prompt and friendly. Made sure I had everything I needed and sent me off with a smile. Definitely will be back!! 10/10 recommend good food made by good people.

Excellent bowl of ramen! There are only 3 ramens on the menu, which typically means they do those things nearly perfectly…that’s the case at Kumiho. The pork belly has great flavor and the soft boiled eggs ranks up there with the best I’ve had. Don’t worry about the one star review. That person should be ashamed of themselves for never trying someone’s food and trying to tank a rating.

This is some of the most delicious carefully crafted food you will ever eat. Another example of an out of this world chef in Pdx working out of a food cart. Absolute perfection in the creation of choices. A great friendly staff and ownership which doesn’t hurt. Go here!

Ordered online. When I went to pick it up 20 monutes later they said they never saw the order or started making it. After they made it they did not include the extra meat that I had paid extra for. Would not go back.
