We came here for my nephews birthday and got the kued feast and redneck nachos knowing we would have left overs. Honestly, such a good deal! This is easily the best barbecue spot in the Des Moines metro. All of the meats were delicious, and for sides we got the macaroni, street corn salad, coleslaw and baked beans. All were very good. It is an order at the counter restaurant but the server came to check on us several times and the gentleman at the front was also very friendly! The food came out very quick too! I will say the dine in area is small, so if you have a large party maybe get take out or be prepared to wait for seating.

WOW!! This BBQ joint is The BOMB!! Especially for my palate. Took a 2hr ride/drive looking for some good eats and scenery. Looking through Google, I came across Big Al’s BBQ. I was looking at the reviews for Big Al’s and there were a lotta bad reviews. While reading the bad reviews, someone mentioned Kue’d Smokehouse. So I made a decision to check them out. I have to say I was very impressed!! The staff was great. Especially the Host Travis. He was great to talk with about the history of this BBQ joint. The food was delicious!! I had a slab of ribs with the TIP still attached and Beef burnt ends with some sides. I did take home a pound of Smoked chicken wings for the Super Bowl tomorrow. All I can say is I will be paying you guys a visit again! And soon. Keep up the good work and Food.

Fantastic BBQ and perfect side dishes to accompany it. I usually go for the burnt ends and sausage, but all of their meats are outstanding. Their sauces are top notch too. The house potato chips and dip are another favorite.

I was blown away by the staffs attention to detail when I asked about certain food intolerances my family has. They went above and beyond to identify what things I could order, and double checked ingredients for us. If that wasn’t good enough the food was outstanding. I was impressed by how tender and juicy the turkey was. Incredibly flavorful too.

The smoked turkey, brisket, ribs, mac-n-cheese and corn bread are consistently AMAZING. We love this place and appreciate the tasty options, new sides and delicious desserts. Easy to go and try new sides or sauces and staff are very helpful and friendly!

Not really a great dine in place but have a few tables. The meat is amazing. The best pork ribs I’ve had. I love his sauce too. Ended up walking out without one of my sides. Kind of my fault too since they go over the order with you before you take it out. I thought I saw it but I was wrong. I called them back and they took down name and number for a free side the next day. Get some to go now. You need this!
