Was luckily directed to this small, unassuming restaurant today….had the Pad Woonsen, which has glass noodles and mushrooms, you choose your protein. They give you levels of spiciness to choose from. It was delicious!! Will be coming back.

I’m disappointed. Seeing the great reviews, and then being in the restaurant seeing their signs regarding no refunds on due to spice and other rules. I was expecting very good authentic Thai. Unfortunately the food I had lacked flavor. I ordered two pad Thai and a red curry. The pad Thai lacked any sort of flavor at all. The red curry was much more flavorful but had more of a tomato taste unsteady of a curry taste. All in all the service was great, the atmosphere was great but the food was very disappointing. I just moved into the area from Seattle and Thai is my favorite food so definitely will to give it another chance.

The last few times I ordered the chicken pad Thai it wasn’t great, very soggy. I decided to give it another chance and ordered today and it had absolutely no flavor. It was one of the most bland things I have ever eaten. I also don’t like how the spice rating is never consistent. I ordered 2 star in the past and it’s so hot (which I enjoy) then order 2 star another time and there is absolutely no spice or flavor. I will not be eating here again.

Easily one of the better restaurants in Abilene! I came with my family and we split three entrees that all contrasted, but went well together – the Pad Kee Mow, Mussamun Curry, and Sweet & Sour Chicken. What. A. Treat! The food had a lot of flavor and the portions were huge. The prices are good too, so I was definitely pleased. They don’t mess around here; they know what they’re doing. I definitely recommend giving this place a try.

When it comes to Thai food, I love it all. But Krua Thai in Abilene is one of those places that truly stands out above the rest. The owner is the cook and she loves to serve great food. She even makes annual trips back to her home village in Thailand to bring back herbs and spices grown by her family. She uses these spices in her restaurant cooking and they do make a difference. This is one of the things that set this Thai place apart.
