I dropped in here and ordered the gyro plate using their digital kiosk, an extra salad, fries, and baklava, for takeout. Seemed like they didn’t really see the order until I asked about it 15 mins later. I watched the lone gentleman running the place build my salad and gyro plate with his bare hands, wiping them off on his (quite dirty looking) apron between each item. Hard to believe someone would do that at all with all the health regulations and inspections, much less in plain sight of the customer. I debated asking for my money back, but I decided to roll the dice as I’ve seen even worse when traveling around the world, and the resulting food was still delicious and didn’t make me sick. Got the food back to my hotel room and sure enough, the food was excellent. I almost hate to admit it, but it’s true. The fries were crispy and hot on the outside, with that creamy potato taste in the middle. The gyro meat was peppery but good. The salad was also fresh and good, though I kept thinking about the dudes bare hands throwing it together. Finally, the baklava – the only thing I didn’t see any bare hands touch – was out of this world good. I’m not gonna go back just because of the poor hygiene and my sensitive stomach, but I can’t say the food wasn’t delicious.

Great little shop open until late at night, or early morning if you see it that way. Clean place, but not the best location downtown.

Nice people with good service. Not a lot of food selection due to Cov 19? Plenty spacious seats inside and outside. Cleaned. Food is good and decent sizes.

Disappointing- Chicken tenders are dry and over cooked, not juicy at all. Chicken gyro plate is pretty salty with the limit salad and there’s no olives!

I have been living in California for the past 7 years and this is the very first restaurant I have found that serves the original Turkish Doner Pita Wrap (Halal). I will definitely be visiting this place again.

This place has incredible Mediterranean food. The restaurant looks ok from the outside, but the food is amazing. Tzatzikis sauce, rice, and beef doner are highly recommended. Also the brownie is really tasty!

Open very late! Pretty good falafel in downtown San José. The menu is confusing as they seem to offer food from a few different local restaurants, namely Indian and Ethiopian, along with some vegetarian options. Not sure if the items are prepared there or delivered. But the falafel and the fries are quite good and reasonably priced.
